Just rediscovered this forum after many years away. I used to post in the old Powder Mag forum back in what must have been the late 90s or early 2000s... can't even remember what my old handle was.
Anyways, I spend a lot more time in the backcountry than I did back then and have been impressed with the huge base of knowledge here.
I ski mainly at Lake Louise or Kicking Horse for resort days or in Kananaskis Country for touring.
Been enjoying the stoke around here for years, thought I'd finally join in. Bit of an aspiring weather junkie with leanings towards tech geekery.
Squaw, Alpine, and it seems Sierra is on this season too.

I just showed up here one day and started posting, realized I'd never introduced myself
CA transplant in Seattle, long-time snowboarder recently converted to skiing, 3 seasons now under my belt. Starting to get in to backcountry but really limited by the number of folks I know willing to hike for turns rather than ride a lift. Aloha! I've been lurking for a while, decided to start chiming in.
Currently in southern california working on working my way back to the mountains after a 6 year hiatus spent in Hawaii.
New to the forum, was on Epicski for a month.... didn't do much for me there.
From the Vancouver area, mostly ski at Baker, Steven's, Hemlock with the odd trip to Whistler. Typically road trip for a couple weeks every year to the Interior of BC and this year 10 days in SLC. Never been.
Work is boring. Guess I'll start writing here.
From Atlanta, but still get about 30 days a year. Which means I have as many skymiles as your sister has pimples...bring on the champagne

Former FIS racer, so I like charging hard and fast
My sister is still under 18 so no, dont ask for pictures
No wife or GF either, snow and school are the priority
Ski at Stowe, but trying to get into the BC

From Denver, ski at WP and Copper just about everyday off I get from my rotten job.

43yo, male, half spaniard half french, I live in the basque country with my scottish wife. I love the backcountry and only go to resorts when there's no snow to be found anywhere else.

Long time reader, first time poster. Skibummed in Whistler, used to ride at Kirkwood and now in SoCal trying to figure out how to escape LA and get as much time in at Mammoth as possible.
Been lurking around for awhile... Good entertainment when I am at work. From the Midwest and have to ski the manmade stuff. Try to get out west every year for 10+ days.
Hey a medium term lurker here, I might start posting regularly too
40 year old Colorado retread after 20 years in the south. Work to much, but I am trying to curtail that for some WP skiing (and other locations as opportunities arise). Newbie backcountry skier with all the right gear and very little experience. Always looking for partners in crime to escape the rat race.

Occasional lurker, haven't been doing much since living in NC for the last 4 years. Had an epiphany recently due to near-death experience, and now decidedly working towards getting back to somewhere I want to be and not just somewhere that I am. Time to start focusing on what is important and not just on the green.

Touring is my thing. I have been reading for a while now, thought it would be good to join.
Midwest (North MN) lurker, finally registering. Get way too many days in at the local hill, but trying to make up for starting skiing at 27.
Fifty year old kid that never quite qrew up. (My wife will vouch!) I learned to tele on leather boots and straight skinny skis. I've been on a board the past 7-8 years and decided to get back on skis so I can play in the backcountry again.
