Thaats all folks. Hopefully mounting anxiety is all over. I'm sitting having a beer whilst my 14/15 rens get mounted with wardens 88 from tail 186 length.
Skied a buds (90 from tail) a few days ago and had to get a pair. The most versatile ski I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Inserts for radical 2.0 to come.

seriously, the 196 owls just keep getting better and better. the other day i finally sacked up and straightlined a powder day bump run. I swear the faster I went the more stable the skis became. My friend said he had never seen anyone straightline a run like that and have their feet completely smooth and still. I love these skis. Serious ridiculousness.

I have a pair that I've had in storage for a while (shit snow years in tahoe). these were the 10/11 renegades in 196, with exposed wood sidewalls.
I took them out of storage and the rocker radius no longer matches the sidecut. They flattened out. Has anyone else experienced this? :-(

I wouldn't worry too much - the ski will flex when turning. Mine are the same way (I believe 12/13 version). The concept of ReflectTech only works when the ski is flexed, or unflexed, a specific amount. If the radius matches when the ski is unflexed, then it won't match when the ski is flexed, and vice versa. In theory, your ski would more match the sidecut when flexed - seems like a good thing to me.
Same here, they actually flattened out a bunch. Owl top-sheet. Just noticed the other day. Skied the shit out of them today and cant say i noticed a difference. Probably just there way of telling me to give them more love.
Had mine flatten out, then updated to the owl version one year later. Honestly I felt the slightly flattened out versions were better in all conditions including powder. Go figure.
Thanks for the updates everyone. I just remounted them as the HOJIs you see in that picture blew out spectacularly.

I suspect that will depend on if you are comparing to the new, lighter, Renegade or the original? That being said, I wish they had narrowed the ski, rather than made it wider - make it a more versatile spring touring ski. Hojis and Renegades still work great for deep winter tours.
I have the renegade from a couple of years ago, wood sidewall. I think they probably widened the Raven since the Kye 95 exists.
Are the new 15/16s just as good as the old ones? And what about 16/17's?
On that topic, has anyone been on a pair of 16/17 yet? Even for a run on hard snow during SIA or something?
I found a pair of new 2015/16 from a dealer for $699CAD which is a good price considering our crappy exchange rate. I love the way my OG 2010/11 ski but they are in need of replacement. I don't know if a weight reduction is a good thing to me, but then again the guys at 4FRNT know what they are doing. They will be mounted with Guardians so weight is a moot point.

FWIW, I have a hybrid PM Gear Kusala, and a carbon PM Gear Kusala, both extra stiff, about 1.5lb/pair in weight difference. In the conditions I generally ski them in (powder), I'd be surprised if the weight difference between the old and new Renegades changes how they ski, unless you're taking them out in firmer conditions than I generally do.

I didn't ski them, but flexed them.
Compared to the OG Rens they are softer, but I was excited about that. At 160lbs my OG rens just don't flex too much. The new ones seem a little more lively, a la the EHP flex.
It does seem they have been getting slightly softer other the years though, just based on what people have said here. So maybe the flex I felt is more in line with the 15/16 version anyway, vs my 10/11 version.
I did ski the new Raven with the lighter construction and it didn't seem less burly than the current model.
I think the new Raven will be a real winner by the way, going back to a constant radius makes it ski more neutral in the way we all love.
Bought the 15/16 Rens, will pick them up in a few days. The shop dude was telling me that MSRP for 16/17 Renegades will be $950CAD this fall... Seems like the weak CADUSD will be blowing up ski gear prices this fall like it did to 2016 bike gear.
