Headed to Pauling tomorrow. Wish it was upstate so I could get a fish fry and possibly a UC
^^Why are you going to Pawling? There isn't much there and on a rainy day it kinda sux and don't let anyone convince you to go to Oniontown. Go to Karen's for breakfast and Daryl's House for after dark entertainment.Nope no UC here that I'm aware of
meanwhile much farther north on rt.22 you can get legit non-rez weed.
can recommend “grandpa’s stash”

Where's that?
New price! https://snowbrains.com/new-yorks-sno...r-3-5-million/
We went for a Greyhound Rescue event at the very cool Luna Farm.
Actually may need to go with Upstate adjacent as we passed a few herds of cows and 2 dairies on the way, but saw no Tarpentry and in fact only one tarp the whole trip. Over some firewood on a rainy fall Saturday.
The cow herds made me think why I like upstate places and folks. There is a saying in Texas that applies to most Texans I know, personally and publicly: " all Hat, no cattle"
Upstaters tend to be all cows and no hat
Granville, following my tour of the slate valley. I found it interesting that they dedicated (1943) this town clock before the war was over…

Twomartinis has some nice napping spots.
Granville....oh my.
Well, that's close enough to Hudson Falls where Al Dimeola will be playing an electric show at a small theater in November. I'll have to check it out if I make it to that show.
You came up 22? That farm with the cows is The Watchtower not any kind of local thing. They can go fk themselves and their fake we don't pay taxes bullshit even though 3 thousand people live here because we have a 100 square foot chapel on the property. That's the place I went into their underground tunnel complex through an air raid/bomb shelter entrance up the hill 22 years ago when I shut their power down before quietly leaving through another "emergency" exit. That was a fun episode.

Kiss my axe!
How’s the theater in Hudson Falls? I’m probably going to see him in Homer. Brother-in-law saw Metheny in Homer last week (while I was on my stoner rock tour), said it was a great little venue.
I’ll listen to this later…

I dunno but it seems like the right kind of out of the way place to see him.
In Upstate adjacent news, it will soon be open season on leafluencers and I hope it's a liberal bag limit.

Also in upstate adjacent news, paddling for blow.

There's always a real locals vs. pretend locals vs. visitors conflict brewing somewhere in VT. This time I guess the real locals and pretend locals have banded together against the visitors.
Fuck influencers. And the asshats that follow and click and pay for them.
Back in my day you had to know a friend of a friend. Or politely ask a local. Not necessarily for leaf peeping. But for everything. Skiing. Traveling. Eating. Etc.
That article made me happy. Close the fucking road. Fuck those asshats following someone else’s fat ass tits hanging out insta snap gram chat.
PS. I hope a wind rain storm wipes out the influencer followers plans.
The most fun I have had leaf peeping was following random roads at the right latitude. Leaves are not a destination. They are a journey.
