To me waist deep means the run was waist deep, not "I hit one pocket that was waist deep"...but to each their own. I had a blast skiing buckle deep snow on Sunday...despite some shark bites on the bases.

I understand, but next year pick up a Monarch pass that has the extra days at other resorts and an Aspen Classic Pass.
Travel around the state and you will see a whole different animal. I'll put you up in Aspen for a weekend.
Anybody want to rally for tomorrow? Matt? Bamboo? Lindahl ... Vail, Breck?
Your least favorite??? Your saying keystone is better than breck? WTF
Breck may be windy and cold, but that keeps the snow conditions good. Especially in the bowls that have favorable wind loading.
Also breck has some of the steepest in-bounds terrain on the Epic Pass. The T-Bar, 6 Chair, Imperial and E-Chair are all really steep with good snow usually.
are you a gaper?
Perhaps Jason....I'll know for sure this afternoon and I'd prolly pick the Beav
90% sure I'm out. I've got a list of work stuff a mile long. Maybe an hour or two I'm the morning if I'm lucky.
Guessin you didn't hear about the ACL. I'm out too.
Anybody have any beta on how Winter Park is skiing. I've got to be there the next couple of days and have only skied the mountain a couple of times. Is the cirque filled in at all? How about the stuff under Eagle Wind or the Parsenn Bowl?
The Cirque is open, but it was only the Headwall area. Last weekend it was pretty sunbaked, but still some nice turns to be had. Anything off Pano is skiing well. Didn’t really mess around Eagle Wind.
That stinks Brian.... Is it official?
I skied 6-7 laps under Eagle Wind yesterday. Good, soft conditions and I managed to have fun.
Beware of buried rocks immediately below the snow fences to skier's right of the lift. I dropped into one of the first openings and got pitched on my ass, and put a nice long scratch in one ski base.
THE BUTTHURTZZZZZ TRAIN IS BACK!!!!!!
poop, I'll be cruising around breck most likely until about noon or so. PM me if you plan on heading this way.
I'll try Jason....I could maybe ski til 11:30 or noon?
Tried to ski A-Basin today. It was sad. I went to Zuma Bowl and left. Its hurting bad. Honestly Its a miracle A Basin is even open. All open slopes are full on butthurtzz. Most of the snow is in the trees and at the very top of lee slopes in cornices and just below. A few hundred feet below that its quite thin everywhere and obviously at the top of ridges and on wind scoured slopes. Some trails should be closed including the whole Zuma Bowl. Its that bad.
I drove by Keystone and it looked thin. Breck looked a little better. Copper looked ok. Probably a touch beter than breck.
Honestly its pretty sad for late Febuary.
So forget about Summit County. There might be some decent spots here and there but overall its bad. Stick a fork in it this season is done for that area. One warm spell and a lot of open runs will be unridable.
Vail pass is looking ok but very wind affected also. Wind was whipping today everywhere.
Overall the situation is this.
Eagle county west of Vail Pass. Hurting below 9500 ft. Coverage is decent to good between 9500-10500 ft. Coverage and snow quality is great above 10500 to treeline. Above treeline is good depending on aspect. Generally trees are the best bet.
South facing below 10,000 feet is hurting.
Let me help you out here:

Low tide year. South facing sucks. When it snows you ski. When it bakes and blows you bake and get blown.
