Need to get some work done on my touring boots. Used to go to inkline, but that setup is different now. Who in the INW is solid st that craft?

Thanks homie. I saw some other suggestions but guessing this is a solid choice!?!
Not sure why Shroom switched his post up but they have dialed in multiple pairs of alpine and touring boots for me with fantastic service over the years.
Another vote for Micah. Top notch.
49* slush cup pond skim was a big happy despite the 2' drop in to the water,(or 10' if you hit the booter:eek:) biggest crowd ever for Hawaiian days!
I opted for speed over height and kept my union suit dry:yourock:

Gawd damnit.
Silver skied well Sunday and today, corn/slush starting around 10 — but holy shit rocks and ground starting to show.
Is that normal this time of year?

Not necessarily. Schweitzer has 241" of snow this season, well below annual average of 300". Last year we had somewhere around 440", maybe a bit more, don't recall for sure. Anyway, we're below average in total snowfall and, consequently, snowpack. This being an El Nino year, that's not unusual. La Nina years are what we live for around here, kind of the opposite of Colorado, California, etc. Also, the past week in particular got warm. Fast. Last year we didn't get too warm until early May. With all that snow, it was good touring for a month or so after the areas closed.
That piece on Junction and the S aspect runs on 1 it's normal, especially after all that sun. Yesterday was nice but some of those kids were out of control. Sounds like Silver got more snow than Schweitzer this year.
Yeah, Silver is showing 314" total snowfall versus the 241" for Schweitzer. That's not uncommon, Silver and Lookout are in a pretty regular snowbelt that generally delivers more than Schweitzer with last year being an exception, I believe. Lookout, I'm sure got more than Silver but they don't show their total on their report. 49 always kills me. They're showing 214" total but with 168" still at the summit. They aren't getting as much but they always show significantly more remaining pack than anyone else. I'm not sure how they're measuring their remaining pack but it's not really believable when you compare them to the others in the region.
that's why we call it 49%
It does seem to be true that they have a new marketing director every year but, the inconsistency has remained consistent on total snow fall versus total snow pack when compared to the other regional mountains for a few years. I don't think it's the MD who's making that call.
Anthony lakes was very decent on Monday. Very high winds during the afternoon kinda sucked though.
Just went for an hour of messing around with my son. It’s a slushy mess by the lodge at the Kan... Bummer about magic carpet being done for the season.
I’ll be at Silver on Wednesday and possibly Tuesday and Thursday... then 49n on Friday or Saturday. Closing out mt. Spokane on Sunday.
