Bikefit geometry question:
If I buy a steepish bike (66hta) that is a little too much reach (+20mm) but the right stack, then I overfork by 20mm and drop ht spacers, will I get a slacker bike with the rightish reach and stack?
Basically, what if I get a large Spur and overfork it to 130 or 140?
I like 460/620 reach/stack. Med Spur is 455/610 (40/20 stem/barrise) and the large is 480/619 (40/30 stem/barrise). I rode the medium and it was good, little short, large also felt OK but a little stretched. Having a 130 or 140 fork would be nice. If this isn't crazy talk would I go with less offset if I overfork?
Sounds like a 45 or 50 mm stem on the medium or a 32 or 35 on the large would get you really close. But I'd just caution that that bike should feel a little different unless you really want the same feel between that and the bike you ride in the park.Quote:
