I just wanted to jump back in this thread over a decade later and say how amazing I thought this boot was and still is.
With the tongue and bumpstops removed (and a Pro Tour liner), they walk pretty dang well. The rearward ROM is noticeably better than the Radical Pro. To the point where I'm fine on my first riser and don't even bother with a flat mode unless it's a LONG flat skin.
With the tongue in and booster strap, they ski pretty dang well. Yeahhh, transitions are a bit slow with the tongue fiddle and yeahhh they're a bit of a brick wall, but they're stiff and supportive and just really ski well (IMHO).
I haven't weighed mine, but I'm 95% sure my size 26 with Intuitions comes in under 1500g.
For a boot that is over ten years old, Dynafit absolutely crushed it.
Don't forget the liner sucked big time but pwerwraps fixed that problem
mine fit awesume & are still good to go so no plans for a new boot
Truly a great boot so there are a LOT of Vulcans out there and I cana really beieve they all need replacing, in any case
live long an prosper eh

Thanks for all the info. I have a pretty hard limit on how much I am going to invest in this insanity. If I can get SeatownSlackey's boots up to Squamish it would be awesome.
back in the day some body gave me a free pair of alpines from SF and it was 50$ by usps, unfortunatley Can post is on strike
Can someone with 265 and 285 give me the height of the carbon spine?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c2d0e21867.jpg
