I took the skiers left exit. Got both forks in the bag now . Yea the bottom is one hell of a terrain trap.
A little tidbit from today: if any of you have ever wondered where the trail going up the north side of the lower Crow's Foot drainage goes..... well it goes NOWHERE! ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE!! Zach and I tried to use it to access a chute in Bell. It just ends at the ridge and leaves you in some of the nastiest, most unnavigable terrain the Wasatch has to offer. There, I got that off my chest:rolleyes2
Watched Crows Foot be ridden from 90th and I15 with binoculars about 5 pm. Nice sluff on ski/board cut from top. Ran quite a ways. Spotted yah on the quite insane skinner. Good Work!
Silver Fork with Paj today. North/NE aspects still skiing ok, some wet slide activity noted in west facing terrain in Days.

Its the skunktail!!:fmicon:
Anyways, we skied some fckna sweet powder today  :yourock: :wookie:
We broke trail and got first run, by the time of our second run another splitboarder had gotten a run (dude was rocking butter smooth turns) and on our way out roughly 64 more people were on their way up.
Here's some photo-graphical evidence that today's turns were just as good as any made this season. And here's the FB video, I might put on youtube in a while; http://www.facebook.com/#!/video/vid...93020&comments

And I've heard others call it the St. Bernard Couloir. So we have people seeing it as either a dog, dolphin, or crow tail. It's time we assemble the Grand Wasatch Maggot Council (GWMC) and name this thing once and for all. I'll bring nachos....
The council can also settle other important issues like: What is our official greeting to the Powderbirds? Is it flipping the bird or mooning? We need to be more unified in our offensive gestures folks....
37 miles of nordic skiing today over the Mirror Lake Hwy. Warm temps, light winds, perfect snow.
My obs:Reids Peak South Couloir is good to go. Skied it a few years ago, and it appears nearly skiable from the top with some billygoating.
Reids is the peak on the right, with the south couloir shown.

Hayden looked ok, windswept as usual.

Um... Wrong thread JONG. This is the 'wasatch' conditions thread.
