Ha! Love this so much. All of my Border Collies have loved laying down in cool mountain streams. "C'mon buddy, lets keep hiking."
"Nope, I'm good here for a while"

4 days in the woods with just me and the 2 dags and another 2 days when the wife and a buddy joined. Rocky was finally tired. Did have a scare though when rocky was drooling and foaming at the mouth. Luckily we got food and bread in him and he's seeming normal 2day. We were at least an hour and a half from the closet small town on a sat. Rez dog gonna rez dog I guess.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9855a64920.jpg

Foaming and drooling… wonder if he licked a toad?! My old boy did that at one point. I had no idea what was going on until I saw the toad hop when I was trying to figure out what the hell he did. He was in his outside ply area and there was nothing else he could have gotten into.

That's exactly what we figured after the fact. He was def around frogs/toads at that camp. Now he has the cone of shame after getting his nuts chopped today.

Man, when Wally was young, I used to run him so hard he would be foaming at the mouth. That dog was supernaturally athletic.

There's just something so great about the intensity of a Border Collie stare.

Every. Fucking. Time. We go to the park next to the house, she gets into the nastiest stinkiest mud, then runs into clean winter, repeat 10x, but she always finishes with the black mud. And every time we get home I have to hose her off while she cries pitifully and the neighbors think I'm abusing her...
Then again she uses rocks as pillows so clearly she's not the smartest animal:

The little one is almost 13, too!
Nice tgapp!
With a 7mo at home I haven't been able to get out nearly as much this summer up high with the pup. Was really nice to get out with just the two of us moving quick for a morning adventure up high. Had a good 15min stare-off with a marmot; his favorite activity.
