^^^ sick. You gonna set it up brakeless for him? My BMX time was before the brakeless era, so that whole concept kinda terrifies me.
He and his buds haven't run brakes for years. I find it terrifying as well but it's worked out so far, and I find BMX terrifying regardless.
Kiwi pesos must be taking a beating against USD or it's somehow way cheaper to make BMX bikes in NZ. I spent hours on Source, Dan's Comp, etc. and it's the only full CroMo 18" I could find, yet it somehow costs basically the same as a bunch of hi-ten frames that weigh 4-5 lbs more. No tax, free shipping (from NZ!), and got a 10% mailing list discount. Crazy nice bike for the price.

yeah 108 NM of torque while all the other motors are 85 NM, I can't find it but something about using entirely different voltages than all the popular motor out there
Apparently can also do 6000+ climbing days and still have juice. 7500+ days with the extra battery. Main battery is 720. Beast.
i found the the batteries are now big enough, do a 4 hr sesh in boost and you will be ready for a beer
I can't find the blurb I read but the 48V is the big reason the Dyname 4.0 makes so much more power than Shimano which is 36V, otoh I also read something about possibility of getting a warning about overheating so I'm curiousand would like to hear your experiances
when you look into it a little further its an interesting desig, it has a high sprocket and uses a normal BB instead of cranks attached to the motor

I think that the total system weight (bike + rider) makes a huge difference. I can do 5k only using Turbo on my buddy's Levo with it's 700w battery and still have 15% juice left (160 lb rider on fire roads), but he's got the battery drained by 4500 (he weighs ~30 lbs more). Riding that same bike next to another friend (20 lbs heavier) on a Bullit (built up probably 3-4 lbs heavier than the Levo I was on) with a 720w battery, he was using about 20% more juice than me when we both ran Eco.Quote:

I run a Butcher Front and I've run rear GC, Purgatory, and my current favorite is Eliminator on my 160/140mm Stumpy, but it's a slog on XC trails.

They don't make the Purgatory in the Trail Grid casing. Same for the ground control. The trail grid is the lightest casing I would run but I'm 200 pounds and like to go fast thru chunder. Planning on running the 2.3 Eliminator on the rear with tannus insert. That and running the semi slick Slaughter at some point next summer. Also got a beefy 2.6 eliminator to run up front instead of a Butcher. I've had great luck with specialized tires.
Did end up pulling trigger on a few Spec tires and apparel.
Also finally installed 12-46 Microshift Acolyte drivetrain upgrade on my daughters bike after it’s been sitting there for months! Neighborhood test tomorrow and some trail rides this week w school break.

Need to figure out what i'm doing for bars/stem and saddle, and cut the brake hoses to length. Most likely going to get that bontrager one-piece deal but not sure on what stem length so i want to ride it a bit with what's on there.
came out to 21 lbs even. One piece carbon bar/stem will shave some weight and I have some lighter tires but the frame itself is not that light, especially in XL (like 1500g). Might get a rigid post for it but not sure how often I'd bother switching. The internal routing has guides though so it's easy to pull housing in and out.

5 yrs ago when i bought the Yeti 5.5 they only went to Medium, its interesting that yeti now offer a 29er in small, I figured the short people would be forever SOL when it came to the 29" hoops,
so are there now more small 29's being made than say 5 yrs ago?
I liked my yeti 29er a lot but I like my SC with the mullet more
I finally found all of the parts in stock so I bought a GRX Di2 group for Ms CE's rig. The pain of watching her shifts during our just-finished 3 week bikepacking trip in New Zealand was too much. The Revolt routes the rear cable into the down tube in such a a way that it creates a ton of friction no matter what, and bikepacking bags just make it worse.
Luckily I was able to take advantage of BikeTiresDirect's 25% off of everything sale for most of it. Ebay hooked up the elusive left shifter.
165 cranks for my '16 Hightower. I still love that bike, but I pedal strike too often. My newer bike sits higher and has shorter cranks. Maybe it just has shorter cranks, idk, but I'm so sick of striking on the HT, but this will resolve it.
