another +30c day today. figured it was time to pedal the new "xc" whip up to the dh trails. 1800m of climbing today on a sunday and didn't see a soul

Rode up and down the new Big Mountain trail at Snowbird. (Pictures are Lynx on her way up) That was an ass kicker of a climb and I loved it!
Despite my preference of less jagged rocks and some really stupid switchbacks, you can't beat a 3,000 foot climb and decent in what is basically our backyard. It's just so close to home I could see doing this a lot in the early mornings. (downhill only after 11am) And, you just cannot beat these views.
Super fun!
Hell yeah! Is this just an out-and-back trail or a loop? How's the DH? Is it all bermy and flowy like a resort DH trail should be? I guess I can check the website.Quote:

this thread has been both killing me and inspiring me as i've been on the sidelines with tendinitis. last night was my first *real* ride of the year. we managed to dodge a thunderstorm, stayed dry and the skies cleared when we got to the top. we put on some Europe '72 on the way home and then drank home-brewed IPA. perfect.
