I'm torn between laughing my head off and running away in terrier.
It’s been a rough 48hrs for us.
Sunday afternoon we went to the private office-leash park and had some fun exploring and sniffing. Then we went for a bath and ate a duck neck in the sunshine in the deck.
And then our world started to crumble. That evening Miss Lou hurt blew her knee and hurt her back jumping onto the deck. We had already talked about not wanting to put her through surgery again at her age, so we knew it was time to say goodbye. But she was tired and she knew it was her time and she was ready to go.
Today everything feels so empty. We miss her so much. Attachment 491154Attachment 491155Attachment 491156

Oh man, CA. I am so sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear.
Vibes to you and your family.
Such a tough decision, but the right one for her.
Damn. Sorry CA. That’s so tough
Vibes, CA. Right there with you. You mindlessly reach to give them a scritch and they're not there, it's...the world just doesn't seem as bright as it was.
Sorry for you, ca
So sorry CA and RIP Miss Lou. That last pic is just about perfect though. What a happy girl!

Being an old dog is hard work and requires much sleep to recover.

two dog beds, two beds, and a couch and this is the choice…. Weirdo.
CA, so sorry for your loss. Looked like one damn happy lucky dog. Take care.
LOL. I know that all too well. The big fluffy orange pillow above is because our cat is a complete bully to the dog. Whatever bed we put down for him, she would take it. The last thing we put down was the pillow. Super comfy The dog loved it. So the cat stole it. Asshole. He doesn't dare snag it back. The silver lining is she doesn't use the dog bed anymore. So he has that back as his own. She still snags the dog bed up in our room even though she can get on our bed which is far softer. The dog is old and can't get on anything off the floor, not even my LaZboy which was his bed for about 12 years.

#1 reason to have a dog: What's up, dog? It never gets old.

The princess got her spay yesterday, finally. And not a day or two too soon, apparently she had just started to come into heat (extra $100), but it was early enough no one could tell. They also had to give her more anesthesia than normal cause she’s a resilient tough bitch. She wasn’t doing very well, lots of puking and uncomfortable, until 10 this am when she snapped right out of it like nothing even happened.
Now she’s a happy slut with a full belly and some good drugs in her system.
