Continuing with the hardtail at rest theme, here is my humble offering. This is the turnaround point of one my local snomo trail rides. The route is muddy, eroded, features huge puddles and is currently mosquito infested. For a few moments, I was tempted to take to pavement loop back home. But I resisted, and did it all over in the opposite direction. Rule # 5, buckaroos:

Decided to go up to the wilderness boundary, and thought about hiking the rest of the way up to stuart peak but rain was coming. It's a pretty fun ride that not as many people do because it is far and a big climb. Town from near the top:

Marshalled the BC Bikerace today then went off to do some trailwork. 600 people from all over the world came to ride North Van trails that were, relatively speaking, on the easier side and suitable for racing. It was a blast.

BCBR looks like an awesome event but I can't see what is causing all those guys to eat it! From the few BC trails I've ridden drops less that 3' don't count as an obstacle.
I think many of the riders aren't used to the endless roots. That particular corner is a tight right hander after a fast section. Too much adrenaline, Others on your ass, oneeyed chinaman yelling Right RIght Right at you, too much brake and there ya goQuote:

Little fun turning 41 last Friday. Birthday present from the wifey was a full day of riding with no time limits. With 3 kids, that hardly ever happens these days. Traffic was beyond crappy heading up the hill but there was hardly anyone riding. Great day.
