Any of you using an Android equivalent to the airtag? If so, which one? And any complaints?
Flights booked and 10 nights in Ortisei booked. Late June. We still have to book our few nights in Milan and Lisbon. Excited!
Looking for good resources/advice for learning about car rentals in Italy.
There’s 5 peeps ranging in height from 6’3” to 5’1”, traveling light with just carryons (and checked bag for trekking poles - grrrr!). Too compact may be rough. We know a family of 5 that rented a q5. In my mind, that sounds like a lot of $$$, but maybe not out there?

Plenty of vans are reasonably priced. Rented one of these in Feb, 2024 in Verona through CapitalOne travel. FWD, diesel, manual. Worked fine getting up to/around/from Dolomites. Ortisei has lots of public parking when you hit town if you’re not walking.

Thanks. Will check out CapitalOne travel. Haven’t researched the car rental stuff yet. I’d love to rent a three pedal vehicle! Our rental appt includes parking, which is pretty cool.
Thanks. I had heard that may be an option, but had not looked closely. With my knee, using vs not using trekking poles has been a night and day experience in terms of comfort, aching pain, endurance, and speed of walking.
Cheers
Argh
I always check Costco now for rental car prices, but they don’t do Milan
Well, here's a kick ass travel hack I just picked up today! For ATL and Delta specifically at least. (forgive me if this has been covered here already, but it was news to me) Was checking in, and as is typical of a Friday morning, the security line was pretty long. Estimated wait time of an hour, and pre-check wasn't much better. Said 'screw this,' went back outside and grabbed a shuttle to the international terminal. I had heard that Delta will let you check-in for domestic travel at either terminal and being that it's usually more chill over there anyway, I wanted to try it out. Welp, this is what I encountered upon stepping inside...

Awwwww, yeah! No line. Strolled right on through!
Greeted with a nice looking Porsche on the other side of TSA. I gotta hang out here in this terminal more often!

Anybody else like to check-in over there as SOP? Think I'll do that from now on.
^^Back when I flew in/out to SLC for trips….that was a “hack” at SLC as well. Haven’t been out in a few years/ but assume it still works?
A few years ago I was checking in at Logan. The security line for my airline was mobbed but I had precheck, and the line for that was at the other end of the departure hall. When I went there the TSA line was minimal as was the adjacent regular security line. But it turned out that all the lines went down a flight to the same huge room, so it actually didn't matter which line you were in. I don't plan to be back in Boston any time soon.
Yep…thx for heads up
Just make sure the airport allows airside connections from the international terminal.
Some don’t, or the connection is very inconvenient. E.g, Ohare technically has a shuttle bus that lets you connect to intentional T5 without going through security, but it is not convenient or fast!
Anyone here used the CBX to the Tijuana airport? I'm looking to go to Morelia Michoacan and SLC to SAN>Uber>TIJ seems like the cheapest and most direct way to get there if the CBX is easy enough to get to and use.
The Electronic Travel Authorisation for GB is live. The program for the EU still has no definite date.
Just used it at Thanksgiving to fly TIJ to LTO. It ended up a fifty dollar flight from TIJ that was going to be Six hundred from SAN or LAX. Easy forty dollar uber to CBX, very easy walk across. Can’t recommend it enough!Quote:

We are living in very fucked up times.
Makes sense for visa holders (sadly) but seems like US citizens should be excluded from that warning.
