Yea went back and checked to make sure...it was November 3rd. Actually an American mountaineering dude that lives in France most of the year. Nutty.
A couple of my friends skied in DT and Dead Elk on Sunday as well. Terrible, terrible conditions for this time of year, but as the Coombs quote goes...No bad snow, only bad skiers.
High pressure soon to end:

not specifically snow conditions,
but anybody seen wolverine tracks/evidence anywhere in colorado?
no pics to verify, but i was out at 9k in the west elks today, and came across big 5 claw slashes in the snow next to a deer jawbone. did some google and its either badger or wolverine, neither one quite where they 'should' be.
super cool surprise to end to the tour

^nice pic,
eat a bag'o'dick saban. fckn joke of a game
^^Stuff looks ugly & thin out there. the beav has a good amount of low angle stuff that hasent been skied yet, on Sunday it was rotted out and skied to the dirt/rock at not much more than a medium pace.
anyone been through the gate off cinch, off grouse or stone creek? interested in knowing if its rotten there, they are different aspects then where i was. bum deal if the rot is widespread
kind of depressing to have to come back from Tahoe today. No more big walls of snow on the side of the road and 90" bases :rolleyes2
Is Loveland worth it for Ski Hooky day Thursday?
Loveland is three feet behind last year.
Next system could be in by Thursday.

Trying to wrap my head around how just yesterday I skied a couple 1500' laps in boot deep pow, sending pillows and cliffs and now am sitting here reading butthurt. If you guys spent half the time seeking stuff to ski as you do bitching, attitudes would be much better. No stoke to share, but sue me for having too much fun to think about cameras.

Possible, but I am sure that you already saw this...

They get around, and islands of high altitude are what they need, along with permanent snow fields in the area and lots of snow in the winter. That would be pretty cool though.
Yup, December was better than all of last season for me.
Ummm...I am not going into the Backcountry to ski snow I don't find too appealing, and the poster asked about Loveland Ski RESORT. I spend half the time working in the front range in an office and the other half the time trying to chase snow.
December was great, but the lack of a base and actually being behind last year in snowpack in many areas in CO is not being butthurt...it is a fact and reality.
;)
NOAA saying possible 1-2 feet in the elks friday, weather models look good so far.
