Fair, but for my Jeff108s, I am assuming the 1d/1d meets the skiing style the ski assumes better than a carving edge. I just changed the edge from a 1/2 that someone had put on it to a 1/1. I have skis that carve better if it's a true firm ripper day.Quote:

I had a couple of question DM'ed asking me about the difference between the skis. I'll post a few more thoughts when I get a couple of days on them but initial impressions are the 110 Pros are exactly what I would expect (and want) in a charger. The 108's freeride rocker (especially in the tail) makes it a lot easier to pivot in heavy wet snow. (That said, the 110 Pro's pivot at least as well as any other similar charger I've tried.)
The Wren 110 Pro's (186 cm) are on the left and 108's (184 cm) are on the right:

The 108 are demo bindings and I can't remember how they were mounted at this time. (I think it was 1.5cm back.) I found that on pow days, I liked them on the line, but with less snow I liked them back 1 to 2 cm.
The main reason I convinced myself that replacing my wren96tid+wren96s with mantra102s was to try a ski with longer effective edge and less splay while retaining titanal - aka a shape that I felt was a bit less soft snow biased (I am usually on 108-116 skis, so 102 is pretty narrow by my standards). That being said - I kinda regret selling the w96tis in particular though, but oh well, too late to do anything about it now. M102s are fun and quite capable, though something that is a bit more centered mount point wise - aka something that has 90% of the performance, but a fair bit more versatility/playfulness/balance in the air - could be an even better fit for that part of the quiver. I dunno - perhaps a pair of custom wood102tis is the way to go, maybe not - time will tell. I will have to look at the 2022 woods first and then consider if the wallet will allow any splurges :)
Yeah, noticed the demo binders - re mounted/positioned specificity :) It was just a bit surprising to see that the bindings are further back on 186 wren110pros than 184 wren108s. I thought the former had a mount point at approx - 10.25 vs -9.25 on the latter which should place the bindings roughly in the same spot from the tails, but obviously not. Not that the difference is dramatic or anything - just interesting :)
