^^^Heading up there tomorrow. Where did you ski?
Just 2x laps at HV. Variable snow pack due to wind, overall pretty thin, but I had fun. Chilled out driving to ski for the win.
How was monarch if you went down?
A few from rmnp today. Wind blown a bit and still pretty thin but fun times none the less.

It was up to a brontosaurus's shoulder at buffalo pass in Steam Boat.
The boat was rocking today. A little crowded, but conditions were excellent. Had no issue finding sizable pockets of knee to quad deep snow.

more weather advisories from NOAA, then dry til maybe around the 12th of jan? What a good freakin second half of December.
Best day in the past two years
Steamboat has 99.5 inches in december. So good up this way...
I'm almost happy to hear that... after driving past Monarch twice this week and not getting to stop and ski it... sounds like things are filling in there great.
Ajax and Snowmass are skiing extremely well considering we are still a storm or two behind 'avg'.... Some thin spots for sure... but getting pow turns a few days after a storm during the busiest time of year does NOT suck.
I am coming from Tahoe to Ouray for the Ice Climbing Festival. I am wondering if snow conditions are good enough at Silverton to bring ski gear. Obviously conditions will change in a week, but what are conditions in the San Juans now? I will continue to follow this thread.
^^Looks like all of CO is going to be pretty dry starting out the new year after this little bit moves out today/tomorrow. Something might pop up that far out, but nothing the rest of this week/weekend. As it looks now I would say fuck it and just enjoy the climbing, it's awesome there.
Sorry for the delayed report, no interwebz where I stayed in Pagosa, but Wolf Creek skied great 27-29th. 11" reported on the 27th skied knee to balls deep. My friends that are still down there today said that the 8" in the report was skiing knee deep off Alberta (lift), and still snowing hard at 1pm. Everything was open with a few sharks swimming around off the ridge, but the trees and Waterfall were $$$. Bring your cold temp ski wax though, you NEED the glide on the flats...
Anyone know what conditions are like around Camp Hale / Pando?
Am meant to be going in to Jackal Hut this w/e.
Probably not worth bringing the big skis, eh??
You guys in summit get anything worthwhile today or should I stick to rock and sapling dodging around rmnp tomorrow?
^^^ i'll be there tomorrow to pick up my lost ski.
:D
edit: picked up lost ski (Eric @ Monarch you Rock!) and did 6 laps in Mirkwood.
no sugar tits, but definitely sugar knees.
