I haven't rolled fenders yet on burlier gravel roads or trail, I'm considering getting a pair for a new bike which I expect to get more medium to heavy gravel service on. Obviously I need decent clearance between tire and fender, as the odds of kicking up a stick or stone go up a lot on rougher surface and knobbier tires. And obviously I'd be pulling them off for drier months/rides, but I'm lazy enough to avoid ride by ride swaps (if you have any experience with fenders, you know this is a pain in the ass). Anyone have experiences to share? thanks.
