^^^^^ Not the V60, but the V90 Cross Country. Can likely be had in the high $40k's next March -April on year end close outs. BMills is right, I need to test drive one to see if my mind can get over the 4 cylinder stigma I have.

Saw some non-CC V90s the other day and they're reeeeeeally nice. Unfortunately none of the dealerships around here will carry them - only the CC, so don't think i'll get any special pricing on one.
At this point I'm about 75% certain a v90 in one form or another is my next car.
Hmmmm, odd, I am fairly certain the new model year cars are released in the summer, so right now you can buy a 2018 car even though it is 2017. Before summer of 2018 rolls around (in April) is when you will be able to get a deal on the model year end close outs for 2018 as next summer they will release the 2019 model year.
^^
All depends on the manufacturer I suppose. Release dates can be all over the place for brand new models.

Finally pulled my oil cap today after work. Oil does smell like gas (although this is normal for TFSI?) and looked like a bit of oil had spurted out around the cap. Too much crankcase pressure?
Talked to the shop and they are gonna look at it Friday morning. High pressure fuel pump?
What year audi? b7 a4?
Gotcha, me too. Best car I've ever owned.
Have you had oil consumption issues? Sorry tuning in late.
On my last car (b7) the cam follower went, blowing up the high pressure fuel pump in the process and mangling the cam. It was a huge issue with those early 2.0t motors, they had a recall out and were paying for people to have it fixed. I had the work done at my mechanic and Audi even reimbursed me for the cost of repair. I was under the impression that issue has been fixed on the b8s though.
I had oil consumption issued before my turbo was replaced 2 months ago. Now it barely sips oil.
I don't think its cam related because there is no loud noise associated right now. Shop told me it was possible to be cam follower, but that it would cause a noticeable loud sound.
Dropping it off tomorrow AM.
Sometimes it happens without people even knowing. Good luck!
Mine was making some loud ticking, like a diesel towards the end but I had no idea about the warranty at that point. I still have my cam follower with a hole in the middle of it. On the b7 they were recommending checking the cam follower every 10k miles.
On my new one I made sure that stupid oil consumption service was completed but now I'm getting some strange whistle from the turbo (not a normal turbo whistle). How did yours go? Was there a check engine light?
CEL about 10 days ago. Trouble starting, rough idle, underpowered. PCV found to be bad and replaced. Drove like a dream for 3 or 4 days. Then randomly on my way to work a few days ago the CEL came on again. Was still running fine, but slowly lost power. Now it's starting no problem, even when pretty cold, and idle is fine, but it's still underpowered. CEL solid for 3 days now.
They are gonna smoke test it tomorrow.
Ah, well good luck. That PCV I've read is a weak part on these motors.
Interested to hear the prognosis.
It was the high pressure fuel pump and cam follower. Ouch. Needz moar bitcoin plz.
Heyzoos Christos* WG, tell me yours is a first year model. I’ve never heard of such bad luck on one car.

Ugh. Is it at the dealership? Did you guys discuss warranty/recall?
On the b7 it was 10 years or 120k whichever came first.
If it's the Avant, it's the final year model made. The allroad took over after 2012 and they still haven't brought another wagon model to the US since.
Definitely out of warranty. It's the last year of the avant before they brought back the Allroad for 2013.
pfft. "brought back the allroad"
yeah, no.
Love the Volvo wagon vibe here. Fucking trying to to find a reason for a new v90/R or XC but the old 09 XC70 CC runs like the day I bought it. Hard to part with.
The cam follower issue has been a problem with the 2.0t since 2006, like I mentioned they stood behind it when mine went in 2015. Might be worth looking into.
2006 Audi a4 Avant 2.0t with 108,000 when it went. Fixed by my mechanic, they accepted his receipt after the fact.
My 2008 Audi Avant 2.0 had the cel light up near 85k. It was also the cam follower and high pressure fuel pump (pump rod I seem to remember). Just out of warranty so I paid the dealer to fix.
Reading what you guys are saying, it sounds like I should have gotten some Audi compensation, or a complete fix.
