Do you have somewhere around ID that you’ll sight that in this summer, or will you do it in CO? I have a rifle I’ll need to sight in too and would be happy to meet up. I have several steel targets as well.

You are on! Let’s do it. I dont have a place in Idaho but I bet we can figure out a place this summer somewhere close to the both of us.

If you guys get over to the western side, I'd be in. I've got a few rifles I'd like to do some work on. I'll bring the chronograph.
Wait ? I though Idaho Falls was western Idaho? I kid, I get to Boise fairly often so that is a definite possibility- could always meet somewhere in the middle too…

It’s all perspective. Anytime fellas.
Got a Plan B for my Nomad L. I should've researched more about suppressors before I bought so many. Two would've probably been enough.

Prolly gonna have to SBR that soon. Of course that means you should do it with a real stock.
I don't own one, so no actual skin in the game so to speak. I know everyone likes to hate on the ATF. However, to be fair, anytime I even thought about getting a braced weapon, it was so I could have a shitty SBR when what I really wanted was a real SBR without the hassle.
A Wolfman 9mm and Nomad L 7.62 were probably all I really needed. I bought a Osprey 9 for my G19 because I like the shape of it.
I bought a Trash Panda and Thunder Chicken because I have an addictive personality.
I bought a Honey Badger SBR last April. Should have it in the next 30 days or so.
The process to turn a pistol into a sbr takes about a month. Or it used to. Now that eforms are being used, wait times have been around 30 days for class 3 stuff. I saw an advertisement from Silencer Shop where one took 7 days.
You could live without a can for a 45.
12g cans are worthless.
If you have limited means get one really nice 223 suppressor and use it on 22 and 223.
You need one for a 22, 223, 9 and 7.62.
Then you could get another 22 and 223 can because somebody might want to go to the range and need a gun too.

Oh nice i built up a browning xbolt hells Canyon speed in atacs camo last year. 7mm rem mag with Leupold vx3hd. Did the mcarbo trigger spring and running about 2.5lbs trigger pull..totally worth it
Great rifle. Going to take the break off though, so loud.
Yeah, the trigger is....stout out of the box. going to sight it in stock first and then start messing with things. A can is in my future, most likely.
Very nice. The 300 yard indoor range up in Ogden is super nice for sighting in. Being able to confirm drops out to 300 without any wind influence is handy.
Speaking of confirming drops, I've been playing with the idea of getting a Magnetospeed chrono so I can check different rounds and get as close as possible for dialing out to distance.
I did not know that existed!
Yeah, I just picked one up with some Christmas gift cards. Haven't taken it out yet but way more compact, easier setup, and you don't need good sunlight like the old school chrono I've been borrowing. If it works, it will be sweet.
Last group of the day at 100. One flyer. Good start to getting it dialed. Attachment 415688

^^^Right on, how did it feel? I assume you’re going to zero at 100 since you are probably going to dial? I really like that scope. I have one on my 7mm RM.
I recently picked up this Tikka 7mm-08, cut the barrel to 18”, cerakote OD green, and put on a ThunderBeast quick brake since I have a suppressor in the pipeline.

100 yards:

300 yards, going off velocity on the ammo box, dialed 4.75 moa and shot. I’m probably a touch slower due to the short barrel:

Felt great. The recoil was way more manageable than I was expecting, but it had a stock brake on it. Triggers a bit stout, I lightened it a bit and probably will go a touch more but need a scale before going lighter. I’ll zero at 200 since projected drop at 300 will only be .6 Mil low.
