^^^ I’ve got those same Rens… coolest graphic of any ski ever
They are legit. For me, it's' a toss-up between the Raven 2.0 and the original Owl graphic.

Bobcat— I have and love those owls in the forest here. What skis are you riding more than that Ren?

The Raven 2.0 were 310mm BSL, I think? I'll see if I can dig out the original for sale thread.
For a time, it was the Moment Bibby Pro, now the WIldcat. Those were superseded by the ON3P BillyGoat. Sadly, we don't get the accumulations necessary for the Rens to really run and be in their element. The few time I tried skiing them at local PNWet areas; they sunk to the bottom and skied the hard pack under the snow. It sucked. Then, later in the day, you're skiing crud and bumped out pow on 196 pow missiles. So I keep them for the rare deep days or if I can convince any buddy or maggot for some heli trips, which is where they shine.
Cheers, Bobcat. I appreciate it.

What’s the latest thinking on mount point for the Renegades?
I’ve got a pair of 191s in the mail, mounting for a 305mm bsl. Based on the hoji calculation I’d be mounting at -1cm back from recommended, but I’m not sure if that article still applies to the latest generation of renegades. Can’t find much discussion since the new lengths came out
Just posted a pair of green revolvers to gear swap 196cm
10 years after my original 196 owls, new 22/23 Owls!

L to R: Raven, Hoji, Renegade topsheets for 2024.
Raven looks cool as always. With a Raven. 2nd year of a cat on the Hoji. Wolf Ren is back.
Not bad. Raven is the best.

Those Ravens look badass
The ravens always look cool, miss mine. The other two are meh on the graphics IMO - but whatever.
How bout just all 4frnt's go pilsner graphic one year?!
Still looking for a pair of 19/20 Wolf Rens if anyone wants an upgrade this season...
Not a huge fan of the hojis and rens either, especially when last years were so sick. I saw they're advertising some skis as made in Canada, is this new or have I never realized that??

I sold my 2022 Bear Rens last year. And bought 2023 Pilsner Hojis. The Hoji is such a great ski for everything. Mine have Pivots as I use them inbounds a lot. Thinking a 4FRNT Hoji will always be in the quiver. I also have the 2022 Raven and absolutely love those.
Rens are good too. But I like the Hojis and Ravens better? And I have yet unskied Armada Whitewalker 121s and Season Forma 118s….so no need for Rens. Yet.

In current generations of this line (vs the old heavy lay ups), I think it’s safe to say that the tips get softer as you go from rav to hoj to ren. I found the ravens to be pretty magic for my style (admittedly pretty forward even tho on a fwd mounted ski), and the ren tips for me got too hung up. (Certainly compared to older rens that would go through anything. The weights tho tell that obvious story.) The hoji is likely a happy medium. And its shape provides plenty float already. Net net, if on the fence in this line up, I’d recommend going narrower
Fair enough. Honestly, for me (at 6' 160) I rarely feel the need to go past a 110 width. Last winter was the ultimate banger out here and I probably could have ridden my Enforcer 110's daily (I did for a good part of the season). It think the Hoji in 184 would make a really fun resort, soft snow, ski.
I'm still on the fence about my wide wide ski. I'm on the Faction La Machine Max and haven't fallen in love with them, but maybe haven't given them a fair chance. I've only ridden them inbounds and it's too much ski for me when things get chopped up. I tend to like being "in" the snow a bit when it gets tracked. I need to get them in the back country, on a cat or heli. We'll see.
Haha. I’m so bad for not giving skis a fair chance. But life is short and whatever. You can always re-buy a ski. I’ve re-bought Renegades 3x and Faction Candide 5.0s 2x.
But it’s so fun to try new stuff….
For my wide skis I currently have unmounted 2022 K2 Pon2oons and unmounted 2021 K2 Reckoners 122s. And have mounted Whitewalker 121 (CAST) and mounted Forma 118s (Pivots).
Got some STH 16 (130mm) and Duke PT 16 (125mm) bindings on standby. Was thinking Duke PT on the Reckoners and STH on the Pon2oon.
But may sell the Pon2oons as 132mm is so frickin’ wide. But we’ll see. I’ve heard they are fun.
Renegades + Duke PTs would be a good combo too.
First world…..I know.

I have the maple core proto wolf graphic. No idea how they back to back against others. I just know they’re heavier.
This is the fun kind of gear whoring. I suppose I should try Hojis for science and stuff. And Factions.
C’est la vie.
I've seen your threads. You're definitely a worse gear whore than I am, but I'm just getting started. I changed over from snowboarding a few years back to teach my kid to ski. Now I'm totally hooked. I did a couple of thirty day seasons then jumped to 70 and 100 last year. My skiing changed a ton last year and so did my preference in skis.
My problem is that I'm on the quest for the perfect small quiver, but I ski everything from park to back country. I could probably make some compromises, but hey..... like you said, life is short.
Hoji's here I come.
Had a successful almost two months of not thinking about skiing every day, but now it smells like the summer is gone so I'm thinking about which way to go with culling the touring quiver from three to two:
Got the Raven in the spring and toured exclusively on it. Planning to pair it with either Hoji or Renegade, as it feel dumb to switch between regular skis and the Raven.
Case for Hoji feels like is redundancy: if one breaks, the other ski isn't too far off for substitute duties. The Raven seems to be built very sturdy, so this feels like not not a huge concern and redundancy doesn't feel like that interesting reason to choose a ski.
Argument for Renegade is non-overlap, powder performance and big mountain performance I guess. Currently leaning towards the Renegade. Most likely it'll be only touring, with a low-tech binding. Anyone with a similar or a different approach to a small 4frnt quiver?
I use the Raven 4-lock as my primary touring ski, and have an older Hoji as a dedicated powder ski. While I like this combo, I do think there is too much overlap between the two.
As others have said, the Hoji’s are more of an “in the powder” ski, and the same can be said for the Ravens. While I haven’t skied them, I imagine the Renegades will keep you much closer to the surface. If you like being on top, I think the Renegade could be justified anytime there is more than 4-5” of new snow. Any less than that, and you should just use your Ravens. Although, ideally you would have a pair of all three!

I used a Raven + Ren for all of my touring last season, except for one dumb day of sidestepping down steep talus.
Out of the 50+ wintery days I skied the Ren for ~45, maybe more. Every day I was on the Raven I'd wished I brought the Ren, excepting one longish "working" day. Love the Raven as a spring ski, haven't figured it out as a winter option (190 might be too much for me) but you're already stoked on it - all the more reason to go Ren for slot 2. I have ~4 seasons on a Hoji (red/white) as my touring ski and I think its sweet spot is as a quiver of one. If you can have two go Raven + Ren.
I find Hojis shapes so good inbounds. The Pilsner Hojis we’re my favourite skis last year. I’ll likely end up with a Raven + Hoji + Renegade trio in the quiver for the coming season.
I’ve got walkable binders on the Ravens (Duke PT’s) and Pivots on the Hojis. Probably STH the Renegades.

Raven punches well above its weight and width in powder. But the Ren isnt much heavier - just more uphill friction. Personally I think the Raven can be an every day but steep/hard snow ski, especially if you err a bit longer.
I didn't like the new Ren as much based on its wider, softer tip. The OG Ren is obviously a whole different animal. But lots of folk love the new Ren... so just one more opinion thrown into the gumbo.
Well dang I had a 10% off code, and Marshal confirmed the FR110 overlaps with my newer Hojis. Bought a 184cm Renegade to complete the 4FRNT Hoji collection. Will post pics of the three siblings once mounted.

Always bring your renegades
(Why did I ever sell my 2nd gen 196?!)
Hey, thanks for all the input in here! Went with the Renegades. Funny coincidence is that the graphic looks a bit like my dog when she's running at full speed.
They'll be delivered in november by the norwegian distributor so there's ample time to ponder the binding choice a bit and time for some early season snow developments here in Lyngen.
I’m looking for an all-mountain ski to compliment my 191 Renegades. I currently ski a 184 Black Crows Corvus, but ever since I got my Rens last year they’ve made me aware of just how much fun a ski can be, and the Corvuses just aren’t clicking for me like they used to
I’m hoping to find something that matches what I love about the Rens: nimble, intuitive, can still carry speed on a runout and are super supportive landing airs, but that is more versatile for my non-pow days.
I’m looking at the 4Frnt Devastators, I think they check the more fun and nimble boxes, my only concern is whether they’ll feel too soft for those harder days at Whistler
So Renegade owners, what should I ski when it’s truly impractical to pull out the Rens?
Heritage lab FR110
Praxis mvp
Ravens. I skied them a fair bit last year on some days with 4-6” or less and they’re a really fun inbounds ski.
