Is anyone looking for two tickets to Saturdays game?
Here's some more stoke for you broom carrying bastards that get to go to Saturday night's game.

Now it needs a proper caption....
NickP scored the tickets to the game and we roamed around. He has a bunch of better shots in this thread: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=96662
Sat. night is gonna be Rockin in D-town.
I was just looking at NickP's shots,
Check out the sprinter dude in right field, almost middle of the pic, with no shirt:

Also, Holliday was knocked fucking goofy.
Didn't notice the sprinting dude. Will have to take a look at the hi-res.
And for those going to the game and passing through downtown, this might be an option. ;)
I sent you a PM, and I might be interested in the BBQ too!

ROCKIES 2, PHILLIES 1
Listen. And understand. The Rockies are out there. They can't be bargained with. They can't be reasoned with. They don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.
GO ROCKIES....................wasted..........celebra te Colorado, we've earned it
What a pitching performance by Jimmy tonight! That 21 yr old is going to be really good for a long time.
The stadium was absolutely nuts! FKNA ROX!
I know this is crazy talk, but if anyone has an extra ticket or two to any of the NLCS games, let me know- I'd be happy to buy them.
PM me, i might have two extras, i though i bought two to the NLDS and two to the NLCS, but i showed up last night (having not looked at the tickets) and found out the bad news
its home game #1
Rockies will oficially sell tickets for the World Series next Monday, the 15th, on a lottery based system at the ticket window, not sure how they will handle internet sales.
^^^ Where was that info posted?
best game i ever went too seeing what all happened... my friend sold my ticket because he couldn't find me (i lost my cell phone) then just when i was heading back to the train someone asked me if i wanted to go ... not only did i get in for free but i had the best seats i could have ever asked for ... club level 3rd base side right next to the press box 3rd row.... talk about luck that night ... must have been meant to go to that game!
it was in the rocky mountain news: http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drm...717372,00.html
not sure what they're going to do for online sales, but it seems like I'll either need to be at Coors Field or Kings Soopers next MondayQuote:
About 30 Rockies fans braved the cold of night in hopes of purchasing World Series tickets this morning, but at 8 a.m., someone from Coors Field came out and told them tickets won't go on sale until next Monday by lottery.
^^^ Saw that right after I posted my question.
I can't imagine they won't sell tickets online- I'm curious to see what they'll do with that.
Wait, so can anyone get tickets at Coors Field on Monday?
Not understanding this "lottery" jazz.

I'm not understanding the lottery system either. at Ohio State we would go get a lottery ticket and the next morning they announced a number. The person holding that number was first, next person holding the next sequential number was 2nd, and so forth, ultimately reaching the end and then wrapping around. I can't see them enforcing a lottery though at kings soopers, so might have better luck lining up there instead of coors field.
I read somewhere else that when the rockies decide to sell tickets that they will provide plenty of notice as well as instructions as to how they are going to be sold. I wouldn't trust the interweb though for purchasing tickets since their site crashed last week when they started selling NLCS tickets.
great pictures, definitely justifies my need to get a point and shoot cause I don't trust myself drinking and hauling around my xti
I've seen "lotto" systems before where they gave everyone waiting in line a number randomly- that was your real spot in line, despite when you get there. I'm not sure if that's what they're going to do, but it kind of sounds like it.
N.P.G. PRESENTS!
Great stuff Nick, thanks for the invite and the killer seats, and killer time.
I really thought the Gin was going put the kibosh on the post-game, but there was a surprise rally in the bottom of the 9th, and it went to extra innings.
At least, I think that's how it went. It was all a little blurry at that point.
Anyway, first row on the 2nd deck, right down the right field line, watching the Rox sweep...PRICELESS.
Taking a piss in the rockpile during the game = PRICELESS.

(No, I didn't take the photo. It's a x-post from another board.)
Extra innings continued into yoga? Actually, don't answer ... I think I already know ... and you're welcome ..... on both accounts.
More pictures from the chaos in the streets (memory card was filled up so these are done in awesome cameraphone style):

classic...
When I got White Sox world series tickets (and how the cubs sell regular season tickets for that matter), the online system set up a "virtual waiting room" a half hour before tickets go on sale. Then the computer randomly selects people out of the "waiting room" to buy tickets until all are sold. I'd guess this would likely be how online ticketing will work for Rockies World Series tickets. The lottery at the box office could go like either way mentioned. Show up ahead of time to get your ticket (doesn't have to be too early since it's random) then they'll announce who's first and line up right before the actual sale starts.
I'm looking for a couple of tickets for either of the NLCS home games as well if anyone happens to have a line. Hoping to try and find someone that isn't looking to make a fortune on them if possible. Thanks.
Another shameless plea...going to be in denver starting sunday for a 1-2 week project, really looking for a single for Sunday's game if anyone hears of any. Thanks!
Preseason odds on the Rockies winning the World Series were 25,000 to 1. If they win, a $100 bet would net you a cool $2.5Mil-house. Nice.
FYI - There are rockpile tickets available on CL for face value ... $85.
I just scored one for Sunday's game. :D

So not face value. But about as cheap as they come.
I don't plan on sitting there anyway.
that is the best deal that I've heard of, I just got an offer from a guy that had front row on the upper deck and he wanted $200 a ticket
pretty much all tickets are sold out. Rock pile tix are going for 100 each on craigslist
If you really want to go to the NLCS games in Denver just show up early with cash in hand. Tickets are always available to Denver games. Obviously single tickets are the easiest to find and if you work the parking lots you can usually find an extra single, or two, for face value. It's well known around the state that it's technically illegal to sell tickets for more then face value in the city of Denver, so a lot of paranoid out-of-towners just dump their extra tickets for face as soon as they park.
Also, regular scalpers work all of the street corners within a block or two of the field, so just stay outside of them and hit up the fans headed towards the game for an extra ticket or two. If you can't find anything out there, just wait and then talk to the pro scalpers at game time. They're probably gonna be sitting on a ton of tickets. It's just ticket scalping 101, but I think it's a little easier to get tickets on the street in Denver vs. a lot of other cities- some people know how to play the game, but a lot of people are clueless.
You could have gotten rockpile seats on stubhub for $55. Check Ebay for better prices too- people on Craigslist are wanting WAY too much for them.
