I have no doubt about it, we had already told him that we didn't care if we went for a swim...well, at least a couple of us didn't care. It was a good initiation for the rest of them though. ;)

I don't know what's going on in that picture, FRP, but I like it. :D
The Nenana River in Alaska has a rapid called "train wreck"
A train actually fell from the cliffs above, and there are still cars submerged in the middle of the river, creating a class IV rapid with the added fun of potentially being sliced in half by rusty pieces of boxcar just under the surface.
This is not me.

Wow!!!! Those Zambezi River rapids are HUMUNGOUS!!!!!!! Shoot...did I spell that right? Well, they're REALLY big, anyway.
Nice pics...I'll have to drag up some of my old classics
Now I am. But that is more about the bad attitude than anything. :nonono2:

Seriously I wasn't raggin on you and undoubtedly you are a far radder guide than I. More like there were all these gripped looking peeps and it looks like you are getting a throw bag or something, sort of unconcerned about the whole thing. Much preferable to gripped looking at any rate. I thought it was funny.
I like big water, don't get me wrong, but after years of working the high desert rivers of Idaho, seems I am best suited to the tight and technical.
I would have loved to work the Zambezi. It looks like a hell of an adventure even at the most "mundane" of levels. Cheers to you for getting on it and getting after it.
alright, alright, nevermind. maybe i'm being a bit sensitive? off with the shit talking on with the carnage.

Gotta love the Zambizi...that's just fucking hudge!
Look at the ramp on that hole. Holy crap that is large.
Thanks for posting some more of that train wreck. And all the other boating carnage stoke. Big part of this thread. Cannot find my crash pics.
I got a sweet flip this spring on video but can't download, edit or do any thing on video yet.

the boat hit the wave, spun violently and is re-entering for a surf. I'm getting launched downstream.

We run the deep, flushy, safe holes and try our best to run away from anything that's shallow or will surf a body.
I can fall out of stern frames too. Partial dump truck from #4 and flip from #5.

So whitewater rafting must be a lot different when the water temp is warmer than 34° huh?
