Not true, I do all the grocery shopping and I know prices continue to go up. I purchased $170 worth of groceries yesterday and many of the individual items have been marked up anywhere from 10% to 30% from the last time I bought them.
And then there is the issue of packaging getting smaller for the same or slightly higher prices. Shit is definitely more expensive than it was a year ago and so on and so on.

Assuming you are more interested in saving money on groceries than raging, consider shopping elsewhere.

Here in Grand County, we have Safeway and City Market. I've been told our prices are close to the top nationally. That said, we have Fitch Ranch and their beef, sausage, chicken and eggs are produced locally and cost less than the big stores for much better quality.

And, yes, the anti competitive forces of the food supply chain absolutely contribute to high prices, we have to do our part to consider the alternatives and vote with your money. And if you are complaining about the cost of proceeded food, maybe think about what you are putting in your food hole.

You may be suprised by both the financial and health benefit of eating nutrient dense whole foods. But fuck, I just paid $5 for 5 sweet potatoes so I'm probably full of shit.

I’d suggest that if you’re talking about federal policy, you should be looking at national grocery prices. And those prices are up 1.26% over the past year - about half that of the Fed’s inflation target:

You need to convert that the an image that you don't have to think about to communicate the truth to the unwashed masses.

You all use the Safeway app? Saves a ton of money on individual items plus they often have an e-coupon for a set amount off your entire purchase.

If you have a Safeway where you live I suggests downloading the app.

Yes apps are certainly worth the time to sign up.

Wife had a fit at Safeway today. Clerk said to get the digital deal she had to have a pic of the digital deal sign AND the product. Wife went back and the digital deal sign was gone. Couldn't get the deal. Maybe cause she's old.

Albertsons has a similar/same app. It can be good but it can also be incredibly frustrating at times.

Now that I am old as dirt I pay attention to the 1st Thursday of the month when Albertsons offers 10% off to seniors and I can stack another 10% coupon for my flu shot on top.

So does Kroger. Saves us a lot of time and money, esp. when the closest store (Rays, aka Rapes) has prices 30% higher than Kroger 20 miles down the road. And I paid $2.38/gal for RUG (10% ethanol) when picking stuff up yesterday due to $0.70/gal in purchase credits. It’s selling for $3.49 locally.
