This years XCC and XCO have been awesome to watch. The UCI 15ish minute 'highlights' on Youtube are perfect when I can't put it on and do stuff around the house and check in and out until the last lap or two.
I haven’t watched XCO in a few years. My wife won’t miss a DH race, but she got bored of the Nino show in the late teens, and since watching a whole race takes a few hours, I haven’t dedicated the time myself.
We watched all 4 elite races in Araxa. Wow. Great course, great racing. We were both yelling at the TV in the final stretch of the men’s when VK made his last effort in the grass before the pavement sprint.

My guess is that if Blevins gets the top 5 and therefore the automatic, the committee will select an open, not a u23 rider if the US keeps the second spot.
I’d be really interested to see either Riley and how they would do in the open division. The US seems well set for the future.

So much of the pre season content is talking about how hard Ft. Bill will be for a first race.
I have only seen Max for US. I think that other than maybe differential rates, the streaming is paid content everywhere so VPN may not make too big of a difference.

I don’t remember which race now, but Rachel lost to Tracey Mosley by 8 seconds and blamed it on TM’s skin suit. She wrote “skin suits suck” across her arms and raised them for the podium photo. She gave an interview later saying basically well and good if Tracey wants to go fast and win, but image is important for our sponsors. The UCI baggy rule came out shortly afterwards IIRC. Coverage was hit or miss. What's the point of trimming the field down to 30 if they still don't show complete runs for the first half of the field? And the fucking split scree interviews during race runs! The link someone put up in tge pb comments worked well and saved the day. What a shit show for a lot of Euros that went to tune in only to find out eurosport werent doing a live show, just a recap. You'd think UCI could let those countries know so they could try and make alternative plans to get the live feed. Actually why would they even give a provider a contract without insisting they provide a live feed. Such a shame. The racing is so good. Every category is tight racing and multiple storylines. Juniors were a great watch. Erice was looking to create a Sam Hill moment. I cant wait to see her in Poland. Her and Asa were visibly quicker ahead of the suoer tight field
