yeah, I managed to find a pair of 184s this summer after I sold my first pair a year ago. I have a hard time understanding just how stiff the 189s must be though, my 184s are stiiiiiff, so at 15% stiffer the 189s must be positively chargy.Quote:

I can check to see if my 186 ferox skins will work on the 183 Corvus as well if anyone wants. I know the 176 Corvus skins are the next length down and short. I got them onto a 181 ferox at one point but barely.

I've had a few friends have good feedback from the Countour and now Pomoca Pellis skins. A bit pricey, but over the last few years they'd go on sale cheaper than most S-Glides or Free Pro 2.0's.
Bummer if Michelle is off the roster - after 7 years on and a lot of good content. Seems like they're athlete team/ambassadors list has been paired down this last year; there are 5-6+ names missing compared to last May and a similar amount to 2021. People who still ski for them (and many who have been a part of the Brand for a long time) and put out content, but oddly aren't listed online.
Not that I’m in the market for an 80ish waist ski, if I was, the Minus Cor would be it. It feels solid and looks like a lot of fun. Couple peeps I know ski and have a blast on it.0

IME they suck in chop. The h-shaped construction sends a lot of feedback to legs. They are surfy though.
Nikolai Schirmer provides some info on them in his recent 2022 gear video.

I concur with Qiliman. I like mine for fresh untracked. They are great in tight trees, they like to pivot. But I keep those and my noctas out of chop as much as possible. Both are great for fresh snow missions, but beyond that, there are many better choices. My Corvus FB gets the most time fore sure. It will ski just about any snow and do it well.
so to answer your 50/50 question, no. I would be more inclined to do that with an Atris. I have my Atris QK for a jester and duke PT (only needed another set of toe holes) but I should of punched them for a jester and a full tech binding, like a raider or yak with a nice wide pattern. That would be a killer set up for a 50/50 and travel ski.
Yeah, I was also thinking about going new Atris for free touring and travel.
so Ferox is pivoty, agile, surfy, but expensive, doesn’t like inconsistent snow and is heavy for pure touring ski.

Cool thanks for the feedback on the Ferox. Atris looks interesting. I wonder if they’re too similar to my Praxis Freerides. Atris is definitely lighter.
I think the Corvus/Corvus FB would be closer to Freerides
