To be honest…many HS gyms and facilities are nicer than UVM’s…..
They need an upgrade bad…the Tarrant Center is coming, but Covid put a huge delay in its construction/progress.
Big money at that school….but athletic facilities are at the bottom of the list. The athletes and teams do pretty well despite the “old school” look.
Great kids at UVM….it’s a special place.
Another season, another national title ? Or two ?
It's that time of the year. College hoops is under way and the cream is starting to
rise to the top.
Fresh off of early season tournaments.
New AP polls have UCONN men at #8 and women at #3.
Coaches poll show UCONN men at #6 and the women at #3.

UCONN is the ONLY D1 school to ever achieve national championships in both men's and women's basketball
in the same year.
And they have done it twice !!
Could this season be #3 ? Only time will tell.
The journey has begun. Should be fun.
Absolutely brutal out of conference schedule for my Musketeers so far. In the last two weeks they’ve played Indiana, Florida, Dook and Gonzaga.
At least they played them all decently and will be ready for a tough Big East run.
UVM is not having the best year. Lots of talent, including a future NBA player, passed through in the last 10 years. So an ebb is not unexpected. Conference play hasn't started.
I'm not talking about the post-Jay era publicly yet. It's not starting off well to say the least. We need Cam Whitmore and Justin Moore to get off the DL.
The bench. That's the strength of this team.
9 legitimate double digit minute players and 7 double digit scorers.
With a good mix of experience and youth.
Karaban and Clingan are both just freshman. Only going to get better.
Jordan Hawkins a sophmore. This guy has NBA written all over him if he can stay healthy.
Andre Jackson Jr. , Hassan Diarra and Adama Sonogo are all superbly athletic juniors.
Add in a few senior and grad transfers in Tristen Newton, Joey Calcaterra and Nahiem Alleyne and you've
got a team that covers all the bases.
They play Oklahoma State Thursday night at home, then go to Florida Dec. 7.
See if they get tested now that they have a big target on their backs.
Will be telling.
After that it's Big East all the way until the March dance.
102-89 X over GU, Ice.
Welcome home Sean Miller.
This is a great NC /OSU game. The last second shot in regulation was stellar
UConn now 13 - 0
Great game for their Big East home opener.
84 - 73 vs GU.
Have won every game by double digits.
Now ranked #2.
Was good to see out transfer Akok Akok getting minutes and points
and Ct. native Amir Spears go off for 19 points. He's the type of player
that will give us trouble going forward.
I'll take it. Thank you very much.
Gravity returns all things to earth eventually (and exposes weaknesses).
UConn falls to Xavier on the road.

Purdue falls to Rutgers at home.

New Mexico remains the only unbeaten D1 Men's basketball team.
Nice to finally get a road win at Nova in Big East play there X.
What a game between Xavier and Creighton! X pulls it out with an amazing second half win to stay undefeated in Big East play.
I'll definitely take it. As much as I cursed Sean Miller when he left for AZ, I'm really happy he's back. I think it's also a bit of a testament to what a good program/school it is for him to come back instead of going to some middle of the road program in a "bigger conference".
X's 3 losses are to Indiana, Duke and Gonzaga by a combined 13 points. I'll take it.
Things have taken a very, very bad turn at Nova. Back to back losses to DePaul and Butler. Freaking DePaul and Butler. G-Town again on Monday. Could be the bottom of the barrel.
X rolls over Ice’s GU today thankfully. Sean Miller coming home has been a good fit so far.
Butler isn’t a bad team at all to lose to. Many had them at the top of the BigEast preseason.
TCU ran Kansas out of the gym.
Bad week for Kansas
GU is phoning it in. X still rolling though.
#19 Clemson down 2, drains a three to take a 1 point lead and ultimately hold off Hokies failed attempt with 10 sec left.
Looking forward to volunteers and longhorns match up, both teams looked pretty good yesterday.
X - Providence was Big East basketball at its finest!
Georgetown seems determined to stick with Patrick come hell or high water so...yeah. We're not even vaguely relevant. It's painful.
I am a Terps fan too though, and the game last night against Indiana nd the recent Michigan game were great. That team has come alive. They are very athletic and have a lot of guys with skillz. Not much size, though. But you'll be hearing more from them.
Is today the day my Tar Heels turn the corner and figure out how to put together another run?!?
Also LOL at Dook getting screwed by the refs today @ UVA. Seemed pretty obvious the foul happened before the buzzer. That wouldn't have happened if K was still on the sidelines.

I’ve got to stop watching the last few seconds of Tennessee basketball games.
Battle for 1st place in the Big East living up to the hype tonight.
bama went down tonite, houston likely back at number 1 next week !
I enjoyed that VOLS win, they’re such a streaky on/off team though, doesn’t bode well for March play, going to need to find consistency
That's 2 road losses for 16th ranked X this week by a combined 2 points and a combined .9 seconds of game clock. One on a bullshit goaltending call and one on a last second tip-in at 10th ranked Marquette.
Hope that doesn't hurt them too bad come seeding time.
