Still got it! Work Friday/Saturday this week then off for another 4 days. Lets try to fish after that.
for those w/o the ability or time to get out onto the hank, I can confirm it's stupid easy to catch lake trout out of Jackson Lake from the shore right now using spin gear. haven't used a spin rod since I was a kid until yesterday and I was amazed how far a $40 uglystik will launch a 3/8 oz spoon.
Lakers should be relatively shallow for quite some time this year on the lake! Longer than most years anyway.
Teleee and Tye - pleasure hanging...as always!

any wydaho dorks need stio code or smith credit @ 75%? pm me. lots of other available deals.
i'm looking to update my old cracked and dirty fly lines if anyone has access to Rio (preferred) or similar if interested in a trade. also looking for a top shelf euro dink rod.
silver 3/8 oz kastmaster is what i used. caught 2 good fish in rapid succession once I tied it on, and then I snagged it after the second fish and had to call it. VERY slow retrieves and letting it sink was key. Think I was casting into about 20-30 foot deep water at least 50 feet from shore. I saw two dudes in a boat land a fish before they even made it out of the marina. might try from the kayak this weekend. If I see a guy with a mitchell 300 in my very obvious favorite spot, we're fighting.
Any of you Wydaho peeps have room in your boat on either a Tuesday or a Thursday, let me know. Good rower, mediocre fly fisherman.
I’d be happy to fish with you. Gone all next wk but any other time....

Great ! I am up in Big Sky so I would have to get an Idaho license and drive down. My days off this summer are Tuesday and Thursday. I want to expand my river knowledge. Let me know anytime you have room in your boat.
Sounds good. Teleee and I will figure out a day soon. Would be fun to hit it together.

Harry, I believe my southern brethren have invited you to Irwin, ID. Section 1 starts below Palisades Dam on the Snake.
^^ ok, cool, thanks.
Date is set via text with Tye 1on: next Tuesday the 11th.
Meetup in Driggs Tuesday, late morning.
Geez, i'd sure like to join you mags. I have a PT appt. at 1 pm that's kinda screwing that up. What's the timing on meetup, getting on water, and post angling shenanigans? Room on yer watercraft? Need a shuttler?
Harry, you need a place to crash for an overnight?
I'm bored managing this knee. Drove to Thayne yesterday just to look at adoptable pets...
I think the boat is full up for tomorrow. We will defintely be doing this again as the summer progresses. We need to get schwerty and snapt home and in the game. That being said I am tired of seeing all those other bastards hammering the salt for fishes, so I will be gone to chase the silver king from June 23rd until July 1st or so...
I will meet Tye1 at 10:15 in Victor and then carpool from there with him. Meet Telee at the river at 11.
Djongo: thanks for the lodging offer, this is a cannonball run for me, gotta be back at work early Wednesday. Come meet us in Victor for a beer afterwards ?
I am excited, never fished the Snake. Hubba Hubba.
Edit to add: #iamahugeflyfisherman
Wydaho Circle Jerk is awesome !
Left Big Sky at 0-dark thirty, stopped in Island Park to get an Idaho licence and continued south.
From here I can see your Tetons.

First Fish of the Day was caught by Tye1on, no pic as I was busy drinking beer and bogarting Tye's one-hitter.
Biggest Fish of the Day was caught by Telee. It was a Whitefish.

FKNA fellas, nicely done. You could tell early it would be a beaut of a day. Glad it was good for youse guys. Next time for me too.
Fugi - No kitty yet, debating my criteria still but almost ready. Lost the ole gal in March. Prolly gonna help an older cat with a sweet retirement.
Well done gents. Is your property in Swan Valley Teleee? That ramp looks like one my buddy purchased some property near 18 months ago. Not a public launch.
Found a couple more pics:

Edit to add: fuck this one-day fishing licence bullshit. I can tell I will end up buying an annual license...
More shit to add: I see Idaho offers a 3-year non-resident license.
#commitment
^ Your spot sounds perfect! Not sure how the guy I know worked it with the ramp owner. Sounds like he charges them an annual fee for the gate key for those who live near by. Def not high roller status.

I sat in that line for over 30 minutes last week; probably be a hour wait once the July 4th traffic starts up. NOTE TO ANY MAGS HEADING TO ISLAND PARK: The Big Hill construction on hwy20 is a goat fuck. North bound trucks and RVs have to climb four miles in low gear creating looooooong waits for north bound traffic to get up the single lane pilot car section. It is faster and far less exasperating to drive the extra 12 miles up scenic hwy 47 past Mesa Falls. If you are driving up from the Valley, use the Lamont cutoff and go straight up to Warm River, you'll save a lot of frustration.
A private ramp certainly wouldn't suck! It is the perfect spot for us, small and surrounded by great fishing! It is pretty awesome to drive across the road to drop the boat in the water. Harry was exaggerating when he said 100 yards, but not by much.
Thanks for the heads up on the Ashton hill I will be avoiding that like the plague.
