There was talk of hard sides for the topper, which became the default, but there hasn't been any mention of hard sides for the pop-up. Seems like it would add a good bit of complication, weight, and cost. They have been talking about a cold weather pack to insulate the top and/or bottom, as well as a heating system.

Saw 4 of these campers in one day, that has to be a record. Started with the first 2 at Hatch over by Bunion's house. Maybe those don't count because they are always there (and available for rent). Then saw one on a Tacoma downtown. And then a Tundra over by Bob Wards.

Free bump - just picked up one of these things a few weeks back. Super sick setup with a buddy heater. Hands down better than a RTT.
And the roof top tent version is also awesome!

Let’s say you drive on 4WD roads. That means you buy a decent $2000 topper with full framed lower that can prevent or at least delay cracks from years of off Hiway abuse. The GFCs I’ve looked at are burly construction...looks to be a topper built for 4WD uses. So, worth the extra couple of grand vs a decent topper? Apparently the market says Yes.
As for this broverland trend of shiny rigs with never-used Hi Lift jacks, jacking up the price of GFCs etc...that’s a separate topic. I’m stoked anyway that a fellow maggot started what appears to be a successful company.
