That's the plan, P18s and my last set of CAST plates. More of a side country touring off the village then big long days.

Picked up a pair of 190 backcountry Ultra lights that I'm mounting with some kingpins. Mount says it should be -8.
Is that the general consensus? Not usually nitpicky about mounts but damn these boards are fine.

-1 at least, maybe -1.5. My brothers 180s felt too centered to me.
Protest folks - debating where to mount my 192 Enduro protests. My last pair were on the line, which were good, but in deep powder I felt a little forward, and occasionally felt like I had too much tail in tight trees. Thinking between -1 and -2. Should I split the difference and go -1.5?
I mounted my BC UL carbons on the dimple. They might be OK at -1, but I'm not moving them. I came from a DPS 112 wailer, so I like feel of the extra running length.
Personally I wouldn't go farther back than -1, never been on the 192's though. Kinda feel like it'd be easy to be too far back and lose some of the ease of pivot, that and I'm on the line on my 188's and never had any issue. That said if I were to remount it would be at -1 for sure

Ski in Washington. Home mountain is White Pass, which is short steep pitches (mini golfing) and gladed trees.
I never felt pitched forward on them. I just couldn't drive the tips. Whenever I got forward on they'd submarine and get buried. It's such an easy ski to ski, I figured that the 196 would be no problem to take meadow skipping.
Who else is getting Skinny Quixotes??
I cant remember whos in the squad

Just ordered some 192 GPO, pretty excited to try them out!
Word... cool handle. Sure were a lot of folks that were very interested but Idk who else actually pulled the trigger? Your gonna get fuckin hounded for a review ASAP though, that's for damn sure
No way. I also love short skis. These will measure 185cm which isnt TOO short, not even close. Easier to spin and jib. New daily drivers..
Will put up a review in November

But will they be stiff enough? Red enough???
I went #4 flex with the Heavy Core, it should be a "playful charger" for me.
And they're wicked Red!

Got a line on these stiff 193 mvps, thinking of mounting for touring, wondering how they might feel on hardpack/mountaineering? I've used dynastar xxls and cochise for a while, end up skiing alot of big mountain runs

The new MVPs showed up today. Very happy with how the veneer/artwork combo turned out. This is the birch veneer. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...81d4e76683.jpg
Wow! Was leaving the clouds out a special ($$$) request, or is this how the standard silkscreen renders on veneer?
... Thom
Oh my goodness are those pretty. I'd have like to have seen your face when you opened the package. O face much? Giggity
Im definitely going woodgrain for my next Praxis.
No special requests, this is just how the silkscreen turned out. Gritter you're correct the right ski is upside down, was wondering if anyone would catch that. I was trying to show the difference in color between the tip and the tail. Looks good with both skis pointed the correct way too, just wasn't working well with the lighting.
Super psyched on these skis, #3 flex was exactly what I wanted. Slightly softer than my Gunsmokes, lighter, and a snappier flex. These are my 3rd pair of Praxis and I was still blown away at the quality of the finish. Keith is da man, bow down.
Here they are right side up https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9e7e6794fb.jpg
9D8 with birdseye - the camera brightened them a bit, they are a little more understated in person.

Those are beautiful. I would feel bad about beating up such pretty skis.
Thats what the pics are for. Actually based upon my older hard-ridden praxis, I am not worried about damaging them while skiing, its actually drilling for the bindings that defaces them more!
Anyone else really excited to see how their new skis come out? My +10 Freerides will be my first pair of new Praxis and I'm excited!
I am stoked. I believe mine will be ready fairly soon
187 (-10) Quixote, Heavy Core, #4 flex. Short daily driver that can charge, jib, and handle just about anything.

Seems like the Qs got pushed to the back of the production line....I can't wait to get mine.
JustLooking those 9d8s look amazing, always fun to see how these graphics turn out on veneers, IMO that might be the nicest one yet.
^ my pair was pressed today
Is there such a thing as a discount code this late in the game? I didn't think i would get to ski this year but life threw a nice bone. Need a set of protests to help out my resort quiver.
Let the mount point discussions begin ;-)
So Praxis' recommended points are considered a little more forward? Even compared to On3ps of similar purposes?
If anyone is is regretting not buying Protests, Keith accidentally pressed my pair with the wrong topsheet. Being awesome as he is, he's re-pressing my skis correctly, so he'll be needing to sell the incorrect pair.
So if you're interested in a pair of 187 Protests, #4 flex, Enduro with carbon, birds eye cherry veneer, Ibex topsheet, send me a PM and I'll connect you with Keith. I have no idea what the price will be but I assume it'll be decent.
