I was wondering the same thing.
Gotta be lots of bubbles and glimpse of shark's body.

Fishies have such explosive power. Thrash!
Edit to add... anyone seen the vids of the great whites hunting seals and launching? Fuckin JAMMING wayyy out of the water.
Not sharks but I did see an Orca take a seal off of Whidby island. Orca came out of nowhere, breached, grabbed seal and dove. Pretty impressive when sitting in a sea kayak 50 yards away...
Speaking of aquatic mammalia, some shots of the not-so-wild sea lions off of Espiritu Santo in Sea of Cortez. One of the buggers ripped my snorkel off my mask

Stupid me. I accidentally left a trash bag outside my door last night. Was planning on going out, then didnt and forgot to make my way to the dumpster, with the trash bag still outside my door.
Wake up at 3am to a loud noise, a turd burgeler rambling through my beer cans. I opened up my door and no more than 6 inches from me was a 400 lb black bear..
Luckily his ass was faced towards me and the door, so I immediately shut the door and locked it up.
My closest bear encounter yet. Thankfully he didnt make much of a mess, so a 5 minute cleanup this morning..
When I was a kid, had a bear lean up against our car in Yellowstone and scratch the paint on the fender. This was back when they allowed feeding wildlife and the bears would routinely beg for food on the roadside. Somehow we felt that the glass in the car window was sufficient protection.
Last trip to Yellowstone I did happen to get a peek at a bear, but he was about 1/4 mile out. A tiny brown speck.
Had a much closer encounter with a wolf that crossed the road right in front of my car, but he was up the hill and out of sight before I could pull the trigger with my camera.
^^^Heh, this happened to us in Banff (Jasper?) National Park when I was a kid. Brown bear slobbered all over the side windows on one side of the car. Mt little brother and I made sure no one tried to clean the slobber off the windows.

Not exactly exotic, but awfully cute:

I was thinking the same thing.
Damn toad outside my window singing like its life depended on it. It's 6C, mid Oct and 51.5 latitude N. WTF? Last belt out before hibernation, or a Samhain omen come a bit early? 2016 been a weird year.
I'll give you toads. Or frogs. (Hyla versicolor) Gray tree frog.
That is the push button on a paddle. Tiny little fellow. Thought he was a pebble.

I like boyds too
Here's an eagle that we would see all the time this summer on the teton village rd.
We would yell 'merica! every time we passed it

^^^ That last bird Rusty posted would've loved to make "friends" with the frog.
Caught a tree frog like that hopping around the garage in Truckee on Friday evening. My 2 YOs were pretty stoked to check it out before I placed him outside.
Here are some from the last year:
Old Faithful bison
Main Salmon rams
Hells Canyon sturgeon
Middle Fork spider eating a salamander
Middle Fork bald eagle
Boise cemetery does
Ribs off a wild boar I stuck with an arrow
Is that a sturgeon?
I thought it was a dolphin!
9.5 footer. Biggest I've seen in person down there.
Not much "life" left in that "wild" but it sure looks good

lots of duck, geese and swans
Had a ton of snow here so it's been hard on the animals. we've had a moose frequently in the yard too (including this eve)
we have a couple folks in the neighborhood that let their dogs roam, but they are benevolent and seems like all the locals have been giving them a nice wide bert

so yesterday morning I was in the living rm and saw a bunch of birds fly by close to the window then -BAM- one hits the window.
So I ran over to the window to look out and see if ok and it was this little owl!
I think some magpies were harassing it when it hit the window but it settled to a nice little sheltered spot by my porch so it could recoup
was worried sick about it for about 20 mins then it flew up to a branch then flew away 5 mins after than

Coulda taste like chicken
if it would have died there I probably would have felt compelled to at least eat it- yea
makes me think about when I was a kid and dissecting the little owl pods of skeletons that they ate
I finally saw a moose.
It is not a unicorn anymore.

I've still never seen a moose. Not in AK not in CO not in New England. It's still a unicorn for me.
I saw a badger a couple weeks ago. It was crossing a ski race run. We had to hold kids. It was pretty cool to see.
I've had that happen with flickers a few times. Once the bird hit the window a foot above my two little cousins. That was a bit traumatizing and they missed the bird taking off. They probably thought someone threw it in the trash
The moose thing is hard to believe. Are there not moose in CA?
Never seen a badger, that's pretty cool. Did you give it directions to badger mountain?? The only weasel family animals I've seen skiing are ermines
No moose in CA.
We've got ermine here. I see a couple here and there.
I gave my buddy the FS wildlife bio the lowdown so he put out cameras.
That's cool! Well, not cool that it hit the window, but cool that you got to check him/her out up close for a while.
I almost ran over one mountain biking at Snowbird a couple years ago. It was PISSED! Snarling and hissing at me like a fiend.
Had a titmouse smash into kitchen window during breakfast. Kids rush around to door to see how it was only to see a Cooper's hawk swoop down, snatch it, and devour it out in the field. 3 year old had questions.
Twice we have had a bunch of little tweet bird scarfing up seed at the bird feeder when a hawk swooped in a nailed one...it is a bird feeder after all.
Moose sighting day 2.

I even have a moose selfie.
My moose chase is finally over.
