Is that the Qx4 body style? One of my first cars was a new '95 SE-V6 (3.0L) Pathfinder with an automatic. Holy fuck did I abuse that car in only the way a 16 year old could. Absofuckinglutely bullet-proof. It's still the only car that I would consider finding and restoring to this day. Pure love.Quote:

both of my cars are now >10yrs (05 Element with 177k, 03 911 C2 with 71k). Had the Element for over 10k miles now and it's been great. Off road better than expected with the short wheelbase, I've put in a new battery, semi-permanent camping platform, roof rack and a $70 electrical part that failed. Averaging about $30/month in maintenance to date with heavy use on long trips and on rough terrain. Fantastic value and she's paid off :).

The 350z didn't fit the dog comfortably so there wasn't much choice involved, onward and upward ;). 2 more years to the beginning of 'classic' status. If I have to buy a new motor so be it. Many of the older 911s have either had a rebuild or have one pending, it kind of comes with the territory. Currently have a 997 shifter in transit along with minor parts to remove signs of wear. Put on new pilot sports in front and learning how she behaves when the rear breaks loose. SoCal treated her well the last decade.

thanks, will post some pics once I get done with some stuff. Elements are just great value for the utility, without it I wouldn't have the C2. Have a full dealership inspection next week. There's a permanent, bearing-less IMS job you can get done in Bellevue, Portland, LA or AZ. Planning to do that once the inspection items are cleaned up. It costs maybe 800 more than a retrofit at the local dealer, and doesn't need to be replaced every 75k mi.
Getting our '96 911 cab back this week after a SAI - related rebuild. That was kinnnnda spendy, ouch. But it should be good to go for a long time now.

Thing's cherry now, it used to be my wife's DD for about 4 years, she got a new car finally and I've been pimping that thing. Kinda oddly, I never drive it except to test it or check shit out. It's her ride.
Not all at once, but:
New roof and motor. New clutch. New suspension Inc wheels and tires. New carpet. New stereo. Painted. Detailed to a completely insane level. And a complete engine rebuild by the local Porsche savants. Etc etc
So fuck yeah it should run good for a while.
Lucky for her you're up to the task of breaking in the rebuild. It's a selfless job right?

and wow that's a lot of updates, it should be near mint for a while. You should bring it out to PC cars & coffee if it's out this way.
It's on the EC, it probably won't get out there but it represents wherever at this point. 96k on the clock is the downside but I can't do much about that.

Better use of $10 grand? This high mileage LC that's nearly 20 years old or a '07 BMW 335i with 65k miles? My 335 is getting really long in the tooth and I like the e90 body so much more than the current f bodies.
