Just following up on this. Yes, FRS sent me a care package with the correct repair material, instructions as to the repair procedure and they even provided an example repair, with step by step repair samples, to a tear of similar type to the one in my jacket based on the photos I had sent them. Seriously impressed.
I think I sent an email saying thank you but, if not, thank you. Seriously great customer service - not to mention sending this, free of charge, to the socialist state of Canada.
That patch has held up great and is barely noticeable from an aesthetics point of view and is performing just as well as previously.
I hope all is going well for you guys in these crazy times and hope you’re able to weather these storms as well as your jackets. I look forward to purchasing from you again in the future! (Any idea when more bross hoodies will be in stock?)
^ thanks glad we could get you fixed up . good to hear patch is holding up well.
Interesting read confirming what one would guess about the manufacturing of outdoor wear in Asia:

If you care about the working conditions of people who put together your stuff, in addition to quality, then you should buy CFS stuff.
i think there are those who have assigned the acronym "CFS" to stand for freeride systems to mean Colorado Freeride Systems ......altho i dont know of any other states like ......Montana Freeride Systems MFS or Vermont Freeride Systems VFS...but i am all for franchising you guys :D just let me know.... i think we are currently covering the globe with just freeride systems...fulsus usa , etc
o yeah, we are not mentioned in the article as an answer ethical production vs. overseas sweatshops and inhumane labor practices....
& we don't tend to get much press...but are goal is not to be the next nort face either ...so ...
Quality, design and ethical labor standards are why Freeride Systems are my preferred outerwear.
We just need more availability! I wear my fleece layers weekly. Love my Antero 2+ but was wanting a burlier antero 2 also, but had to go with one of the shit brands based on what was in stock. Looking forward to seeing what will be available this fall.
Dang- I want to get aboard the Freeride Systems train. Looks like they're totally out of stock!
MiCol, any men's size small kicking around? would love to try a baselayer or an antero II. sounds like quality kit from a killer company.
^^^^^^ thanks all
wwwllw...no good news to report...no A2 for now. I may still make some stuff but we are sewing for contract customers and i decided to hold off sewing anything new for us as im not sure what will go on with the coviddy . i did cobble something new and interesting together as a sample but did not let full production go on it, i will let it leak out on here later...
tgapp I am not sure what our plan is for this Fall. We do have some garments around from earlier this year when I shut down our fulfillment center. We probably have some medium base layer shirts (which run small and stretch) and I think there are two small jackets left. according to y records they are Antero 2+ hardshells one is a LTE lightweight crimson color, 1 is regular weight hardshell bright red.....
It's interesting how the pendulum swings, eh? When all MiCol had was Antero 2s, everybody wanted hardshells. Now, when all he has are hardshells, everybody wants Antero 2s. I know my preference is for the soft shells but I have so many, I won't be buying for a long, long time (unless I come across a killer deal).
^ true that...lol
strangely I like the soft shell
for lift serve and the hard shell
for BC (hard shell is lighter and more packable).
If anybody has a medium Antero 2 to sell, I'm probably your Huckleberry.
Cool to see FRS and Lovelands new avy dog together on the news this am

mayor that looks like a summer day if not in the jacket and googles. i thought that place would a hockey arena by now...
cj : we dont know yet. we literally have 1.5 yrs worth of work booked that will not allow us really to have a break and slide in our own frs work....we have been jammed up for some time. we are attempting to grow which would allow us to make some frs stuff soon.... but that is easier said then done....congrats on the leaning out...ive done some of that myself lately...it takes discipline and effort which is not always easy....i applaud u .....i need to talk to wrg and see if there are any small or small talls out there lurking in warehouse that are not on website.... i kno there was a time we cranked a bunch out, slowly sold them off....then took a break from making more.....
