Were you on a certain connection ? Wifi or 3/4g?
I'm rewriting it for next year. I've learned a lot since embarking on this project :)
Ya, graphs is on of the features I want to include. I'll try and get the data for the totals there.
I've updated the snotel app. It is way more stable. I am working with a better data set from the NRCS. Check it out for 2016-2017. Join the Beta to test releases!
Sweet dude. I noticed the update come through. Will check it out and note any issues.
Thanks so much for keeping up with it!
Nice. Much improved. So you have a place to donate with Google Play monies?
New app is great, but I can't see the tables, or a web link to them?
24hr change doesn't really tell you what it's been doing all morning. If I read it correctly, it's 12am to 12am.
Also, having the altitude instead of depth last year would be incalculably more useful.
Something is going on with the data. I am looking into it. FYI.
Data seems to be working again. Nrcs server issues.
Thanks for maintaining the app man. Much appreciated resource.
Glad it is helpful. I use it daily here in Oregon.
Rolled out a new beta. Please check it out if you can. You can join the beta program in the google play store by scrolling clear to the bottom of the listing and clicking IM IN for the beta.
I added elevation to the sites per requests and updated the favorites with a better interface. I'm working on getting the data more dialed in as some users say it doesn't always show.
Thanks for all the suggestions and comments.
This is what I see in the play store: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7cc0b1c1bc.jpg
Fresh and Deep.
Ah, you use your phone to access Google Play. It's not on the website version.
And here is a favorites snap.

Will this work on my kids kindle?
Forced an update, re-did the favorites and got the elevations and new data.
Added a little update to fix some issues to the beta channel! Added a new avi danger level map. Will try and wrap it into the same map as the snotel locations if I can get past a weird bug with it. Merry Christmas all! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...cc49dbbd5f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...73952b57f4.jpg

Bump
I'm running this on Android 8.1 and am running the beta version of the app.
When I open the app or switch between maps, it always starts with the map centered in Colorado and then scrolls to my location. I know that's a little thing but it's unbelievably annoying, especially if I want to switch between to get the snotel/avi danger for a specific location.
Also, I got stuck in the settings menu and had to force stop the app to reload the maps.
Cool idea, definitely buggy. Considered this isn't monetized I appreciate you putting in the time.
Seems like it's working ok
Reviving a dead thread! I updated the snotel app on Android and I'm working to get it into iOS soon. If you use the app, any ideas or suggestions for what you'd like to see in the future would be great. Thanks! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f2011e6bee.jpg

Finally got the iOS version up. Feel free to be a beta tester (40 folks total, so grab a spot!) or if you want to support the app, you can get it on the app store. Thanks again all for the feedback.
I just stumbled onto this. The Android version is sweet: thanks for making it!
Hey All, just wanted to let you know that I updated the app to fix an issue with caching.
Peace!
"... you got it buddy!"
Hey TGR, happy winter. I've updated the snotel mapper and added changes folks have been suggesting. Also, you can see the ideas and possible future changes in the beta version if interested. [emoji106]

Apple Test flight has also been updated. If you want to be a beta tester, DM me with your email.
Always interested in feedback as well.

Thanks for putting this together, its working well on my Samsung S9. As a weather junky I was bummed to see NOAA get rid of the map that included linked points to all of the weather stations in the northwest. It was old and clunky but super handy ultimately.
I would love to be able to see the hourly data for each day. Its nice to follow along with the storm accumulation in semi-real time and get a look at especially intense periods of snowfall. I'm sure that's more complicated of course but if you're looking for next steps that would be it for me.
