Nice - will look good next to my green VT sticker on the box. thanx
i think we should just level the matterhorn apres. take that motherfucker for all its worth.
Still not sure if I'll make it, but I'm still interested. It would be a 12+hr drive for me, if I do.
Just one pointer that I'll bring up with the stickers. I like the round ones. The square ones are vermont-like green, but the mountain design at the top is an old colorado license plate. May not work for an EC summit.
If you look close the mountain tops are the teton graphic logo kind. Hence showing TGR the love they deserve. The PM part shows our heritage and the green definitely kicks off the VT style. I think the final sticker design will loose the heli. - not so EC. The only problem now is trying to find a place to put the 2-3' on new snow. Like I said before I'll get them made in a week or so once I get moved into my new place in Albany. I'll keep you posted.Quote:

very cool. we can talk MTB at the summit.
I leave Kentucky on Friday, I'm moving to Albany. I'm really looking forward to the move. See you at the summit. :biggrin:Quote:

Is anybody planning on hitting up any other areas? I'm planning on Bear Creek on Thursday, Burke on Friday, Stowe Sat then Jay Sunday and Monday. If there's snow anyway that's the plan.
I'll probably hit Kmart or Mt. Snow on Monday, have to see whether or not I need to be back in NYC Monday evening.
Maybe someone should start a separate thread for people to commit to buying tix, and what days they want them, so we can get the group rates.
Group rates = Good idea. Stowe is kinda pricey. Actually, any shop rats know what the deal is for shop employees?
I'd give folks a Smuggs tour if they want to head over to the other side of the notch.
ther is no deal at stowe for shop employees. at least not ski market employees. If your shop set up a list with them early in the season, and you work full time, there might be a bit of a discount. but it sure as hell aint like going to killington or sunday river.Quote:

Employees working over 25hrs a week get $30 tix or something thereabouts (maybe it's managers only or something).
since i work maybe 2 hours every 2 weeks if that, i decided to just get a season pass and not work at the shop, didn't pursue it any further.
you need to call ahead, send them a list, bring a current pay stub, etc etc.
anybody committed to a room yet? I'm planning on coming up thurs nite-leave sunday night-I'll share a room, sleep on someone's couch-whatever...
I can host any house broken maggots that need a place to stay during the EC summit.
My place is down in southern VT (near Magic) and is a about 90 minutes from Stowe. I'll be driving back and forth for the summit.
PM me if you're interested and as always beer gets you in the door.
elevens
this looks kinda fun. if i take a train from NYC to Rutland VT, can anyone give me a ride to wherever the lodging is?
Shhh...
I scored 6 $35 lift tix for Stowe (plust the two that I need). Yes they're good on weekends. First 6 that tell me they want one for the summit...
i'll most likely be able to give someone a ride up from nyc and provide shuttling when i'm in vt.
Down to 4. Aldo just snagged 2.
edit: smerham scores 2. Down to 2 now
edit: Vinman takes one. One left!
What are you talking about, gravity? Can I have one? Do I want one?
Well, lets see. Regular price is around $65. These are vouchers for $35 tix. Do you want one?
FWIW, the place seems to be filling up that weekend. I just got my room at the Sunset Motor Lodge for less than $80/nt including breakfast and they had a few rooms left. It's on Rt 100 just a few minutes from the access road.
With those discount vouchers I got a pile of Stowe stickers too, where are we on the summit stickers?
I just got connected to the internets. I'll post the final design in a day or so and then place a order.Quote:

Dexter grabbed the last half price ticket I had so that's it unless the very nice young lady in the Stowe marketing office feels generous again for discount tix. Thank you Julie
Sunset motor inn in Morrisville is a good place to stay. Nothing extravagant but it is fairly nice and clean and decent prices. It will take you roughly 1/2 hour to get to the mtn from there.
Less than a month left, who's in?
You're able to get vouchers there (I think), plus breakfast at a place next door too...Quote:

I'm still in...i call one of nhtele's couches.
6-8" new on the ground at Stowe today, reported by my roommates. More for tomorrow
Well, just read the full thread. I'll most likely be there Friday morning, Saturday, and Sunday. Each day I'll be driving from Burlington, so if anyone is staying around there or needs a ride from the town of Stowe to the mountain, I can help taxi.
I'd be happy to help show people around. Woods have been sketchy lately- but conditions are improving. THINK SNOW!
edit- there's also night skiing via the Gondola on Thur, Fri, Sat nights.

Since I will be skiing with my friend Joe this weekend, I will see if his wife's band is playing in the Stowe area the weekend of the Summit. I know they play the Matterhorn with some frequency. If they are playing, I'll see if I can get them to get maggots in for free.
Hey, I'm still in but only for Sunday. My kiddo has a race on Saturday.
Would love to come up Sat. after the race for hanging out but still have to secure lodging. Gravity, where is your family staying?
Sprite

Condo reservations booked I'll be up there Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday. Somebody mentioned that Stowe has night skiing Friday nights? Is there a 1/2 day/night ticket? Like a 4 hour ticket that some mountains offer?
looks like they do.Quote:
