Sure I realize that... which is why I hate it even more. They ditched the "tried and true" Sportscenter from the old days where they actually showed game highlights, and replaced it with worthless drivel from guys who don't know what the fuck they're talking about. There are only a handful of watchable guys on ESPN anymore, and if they're not on, I'll change the channel immediately.

I don't know who can sit and watch guys like Bayless, Stephen A., etc for more than 10 seconds before going insane. It's ridiculous how bad their content is these days.

Cowherd is a blowhard that has NO idea what he's talking about. None. At all. I stopped listening to him when I heard him talk about how there's no such thing as momentum in sports, then he continued to ramble on for 10 minutes telling listeners why he's right. The only thing that guy's decent at is interviewing people- otherwise he's right there with Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith.

Watching games on ESPN, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY better than Fox

I was in a sub shop a couple days ago, they had espn on and it was a split-screen with Steven A. and Skip Bayless. Thank fucking god the sound was off.

What's the deal with NBC Sports Network or whatever it's called? Is it just Versus rebranded?

Will it be a viable alternative to ESPN? NBC seems to have the rights to enough good sports to make it competetive.

Or will it just turn into another TMZ Sports network just like ESPN?

I think I stopped looking at ESPN.com years ago when they hid half of the content behind subscriber BS. The tv network seems to have done the same. If you want sports, go pay for the respective packages otherwise we'll subject you to 24 hours straight of wanna-be NFL network crap and women's softball despite the fact that there's the NHL playoffs going on, the MLB season heating up, and NBA playoffs in the very near future - never mind golf.

I just don't understand how they can dominate so much of their 'coverage' to a sport that wont play a meaningful game for another 6 months.

I can't understand why they dedicate so much time to a meaningless sport like baseball.
