The one problem I see is that most fans only see the list of names and can't/don't differentiate between the levels of accusation and evidence. Sure there are the people who actually take the time to read the articles and see who's accused of what... but there are also people who put Brian Roberts in the same boat with Clemens. And of course, ESPN is simply broadcasting all the names together, so that doesn't help.
You are right and I agree, however it STILL bothers me quite a bit. Even though it doesn't appear that he juiced a bunch of times over the years, like bonds and clemens and others, I still can't make excuses for Pettitte. He did the wrong thing, and his reputation is likely destroyed. It saddens me.... Hopefully he can rise above it and still pitch this year.Quote:

edit- this doesn't bode well for Clemens' denial tactic. The man Clemens and his lawyer are saying is "troubled" and "gave up names only because he was under the threat of federal prosecution" has just been proven somewhat credible by Pettitte. Not that I thought denial was going to work anyways.......
