i still think the worst part of that guys situation is stopping the slide and realizing he has to climb all the way back up to retreive his skis.

I've beat the hell out of my dynafits, ski inbounds, out of bounds, airs up to 20' for 4 years, about 10-15 OB days/year and 20-25 IB days per year.
Have had a few releases I wouldn't have liked. But overall pretty dam good.
This year I mounted a pair of freerides on some sugar daddies and after about 10-15 hours of use they broke. Chattered the skis over some firm snow, the heel piece broke, then the whole toe piece ripped apart.
This was while skiing with my son on a 10 degree slope going maybe 15 mph!
I don't know what to think about that.
are you going to post in every single thread about your broken freerides?
we get it already
now if you really wanted to be useful you COULD send the binding back to Black Diamond to see if it was defective and then post informing us of your results that might be slightly more helpful.
i'm thinking you mounted used bindings to your skis. you've posted this in several threads. can you give us more info than "freerides" as there are now 3 generations of them. do you know their history?
do you want me to keep the FR+ you ordered? i can refund you $$.
heelpieces & toepieces don't just disintegrate on any binding. i'm not saying you did anything, but i'm curious about their history.
let us know so we can try to help.
how bout you ship those FR+ to me since they suck so bad
i gots plenty of fritschis that are still in the rotation...all of 'em have a home right here. :)
