Anyways, Union Square is a decent place to stay and eat and City Lights and the bar next to it is a fun visit. Just walking around the streets and hills is fun for me, I don't ever know where I'm going or should go, I probably miss shit that way.

If it's around Columbus Day Weekend, the Navy will be there. The Blue Angles. All kinds of air show excitement.
Anyway, be prepared for expensive.

The kabuki has room
deals sometimes and is a cool place to stay in Jtown. Hotel Enso is nice to but pricier usually.

I thought waymos weird factor vanished less than 5 min into the ride.

RS, any food preferences or things you want to avoid? Do y'all eat everything? Do you care about beer, wine, or cocktails? Have you been to Marin and/or are interested in hiking? Obviously you don't need to leave Montana for SF for the outdoors but if you want to get out of the city, Marin has some cool spots.

FWIW, in many years SF had lower incidence of violent crime per capita than Helena, MT.

Car break-ins are a different thing. Even so, in 35+ years, I’ve had a total of 5 car break-ins (the last in 2018).

I’ve lived in sf for 30 yrs now and have had zero car break ins. Knock on wood : jinx/anti jinx. My neighborhood gets 1 or 2 every couple of months or so since Covid. Prior to Covid, car break ins were pretty much in tourist heavy areas , but spread out when that source was reduced during the pandemic. Dont leave shit in the car and your gernerally fine

Has there been a big indoor parking spot market pop in response? Prob not very realistic?

Here in Truckee car breakins and home invasions are an every day occurence--bears and deer mice mostly.

Sadly, in my town, there's a two-legged demographic that likes to go through people's cars and unlocked garages and outbuildings. If only it was kangaroos. That would be interesting. A few idiots have had handguns stolen from their cars.

Trailheads get hit pretty regular around here in the BZN. And frankly I'm surprised the cat thieves haven't hit the rental car yard at the airport, that's some happy hunting grounds right there.
