i would like the anima to have a piece of metal in it. I noticed torsionally it was weak with that much width in the shovel. It also is very soft snow specific compared to narrower models that can hand scrapped off snow in the afternoon. They ski great in deep stuff as waxoff said, but they get pushed and as long as the snow is light and fluffy they will do fine in chop. But is there is any density to the snow and a little hard pan showing, they become less then enjoyable. I just found my Atris to handle variable better then the anima.
1 piece of metal. Not two. 1 piece. Just a little bit more stiffness in the shovel, then I’m right on board with waxoff.
I also think I pushed the anima out of what I use by owning the Nocta, Corvus, and Atris. The anima tries to cover a lot of bases but falls a little short and drives me to just running two different skis some days.
