I had an old Kitchenaid DW which was a pretty good unit but I got tired of fixing/ macgyvering it so I replaced it with a highly rated Bosch product that spent most of the summer broken while I got to know the Appliance warranty guy
Buddy told me that alot of small parts mfgers that were cruising along just fine pre covid completely Dissappeared post covid and the new sources of parts are not great,
some one else who posts here sez he has a whole shwack of high appliances with open warranty issues
