I have a cheap amzn air fryer instapot lid. I’d echo Evdog’s comments. It works. It saves a little space. It’s small. I wouldn’t buy it again.
If does work with any pot the same diameter as an instapot… so that might be your space saving move….
I want one of those fancy countertop ovens that toasts, air fry’s, bakes… etc….

Instapot is a pressure cooker and slow cooker combo.
Would be good for a dorm or boat or camper. I guess they could air fry also.
Already had the first two so bought a fryer. They are amazing. Used several times a week.

Cooking for one or two and using it several times a week love it! Potatoes, chicken thighs, salmon and cod. Quick, and the basket makes it easy to load/unload/clean. Low end, but handled with care I think it will last for a while. So far, so good, time will tell.
This is maybe my favorite use: Sourdough bread, mustard and mayo, cheese and lunch meat of choice, and a thick layer of kimchi. Put it together, microwave for 30 seconds to heat the stuff in the middle, brush the outside of the bread slices liberally with olive oil, then drop in and air fry for 5 minutes at 390 degrees, no turning needed. Comes out perfectly toasty and tasty!

This is one of those 4 qt bucket type fryers. I’ve already got a convection toaster oven, but I may want to upgrade that too at some point.
I hate the air fryer attachment for my instantpot. I got a deal on a brand named bundle. It really only does 1 to 1.5 servings of anything worth cooking. It's extra stuff to store. And it sucks to have to wash it for such a small yield. I'm going to upgrade my oven and stovetop before long and I'd rather just have a decent convection oven than an air fryer.

Yeah, it doesn’t have a rotating basket. Also, turns out it is 6 qt, not 4 qt like I said earlier.
It did stink up the house with a plastic smell the first time I used it on a dry run with no food. The manual mentioned this is normal, and should go away quickly. Will see.
There’s also a white light that spells out the word “OFF” that stays on all the time when it’s not in use. That annoys me. If you are off, just turn off your lights. You don’t need to tell me you are off.
It's a reminder to unplug it.

Combi-Oven - like what you see at Starbucks and 711 - the microwave convection oven combo unit they use to heat breakfast sandos and frozen pizzas.
I didn’t know there were residential models….. but there’s like a dozen countertop options on bestbuy…
Breville has the Combi Wave 3 - microwave with convection and broiler. Has an air fry mode. $500.
I’m not the biggest fan of reheating some dishes in the microwave. Stovetop and oven reheats maintains texture a lot better. In my dream kitchen I’ve always wanted a small convection oven to do that and air fry’s… but I don’t have the space… Probably a jack-of-all-master-of-none situation but maybe this can replace my microwave and call it good enough.

I thought a combi oven was a steam oven with convection. Those are pretty neat but they are usually expensive AF for home use. Can get faster and more even cooking as slightly steamy air holds a lot more heat. Can also bake certain breads like a steam oven.Quote:
