You don't get to shift -- with the clear intent to affect the ability of a hitter to get a hit and especially an extra base hit -- and then get to complain when they try to hit in reaction to the shift. And FFS, it's not like someone trying to show you up while you're losing badly! The hitter was on the losing team, trying to start a rally.
