Hmm... but will tresckow and kristen have a guitar, a captain hat, and Micah's sunglasses? :yourock: It's all about quality of effect, not quantity consumed.Quote:

Luggage?
Any problems with the double ski bag and big ass PM Gear boots bag on the Santiago - Mendoza flight? LAN's website is a little unclear.
To travel from, to or via Canada, USA 2 pieces, 32 kg each
Other trips within South America 20 kg max.
PNWBrit, I was agreeing with the bumps implying you're skiing with too many other people. Oops.
Also, good to know about the lighter max weight in SA, Foggy. I'll be sure to weigh my stuff.
In case anyone doesn't know, 1 kg = 2.2 lb, loosely speaking.
Scott E. Wittlake, (or anyone else): I need new goggles. Are they cheaper in LL or similar? Do they sell major brands there? If it's all the same, I'll get them down there, just for the story. Thanks.
Ski gear is expensive down there - bring everything you'll need with you.Quote:

See you suckas on the 5th!
Got a flight, pretty sure, but no place. anyone without a place want to get together once we congregate and throw in on a hotel room or one of those dorm rooms?
let me know. i'm leaving ASAP, but probably around 29-30, getting there around sept 1, staying till the 12th.
¡Hola, amigos!
Does anybody have any advice about getting to Las Lenas from Mendoza? We just arrived in Mendoza today after a week in Bariloche. We want to head to Lenas this Sunday. Any advice as to which bus line? Departure times?
Thanks in advance - we could probably figure this out ourselves, but being Canadians, our Spanish ain´t so hot ...
Cheers.
Merlyn, I don't know what bus line but the Damajuana Hostel has mined lined up for me. You may be able to go there/ contact them for help. Their English, at least via email, is better than my Spanish.Quote:

Can I get through my to-do list in one week? I've got 24hrs to decide.
WWMD?!?
pull the trigger of course? Why ask? You knew you were gonna when you posted. You know you'd be stupid to not go if you have a ticket on hold.
easy decision.
Spew, I need a place for those kinda dates too. I'm gonna probably spend a night on the floor of my buddy's apt monday night. I'm arriving in BA the 28, sunday, probably going to LL on monday.
Merlyn, if you can't go on sunday, perhaps I'll see you on the bus on monday! :)
I'm leaving Denver in a couple days!! I'm so psyched.
Ride fast, take chances.
I just recieved confirmation at that same hostel, so looks like they have room. They said, however, that we need to go to the station to pick up our bus tix.
Being in the same position last year with one week to plan everything. I went. The only thing that took more than a day and couldn't be done on the internet was getting insurance to cover any medical emergencies.Quote:

Let me know at kuharicm@u.washington.edu (we're 25 year old grad students, 1 guy, 1 girl)...
