Did you call your local Fish and Game office? They'll probably want to see any deer that has died mysteriously. Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease, (aka "blue tongue") has been spreading westwards over the the last decade and it is confirmed in central Oregon.
F and G said they weren’t interested, unless I saw it “behaving strangely” before it died.
Defaming and objectifying Papa Smurf's girlfriend.
Way to go iceman. :nonono2:
Cut out the tenderloins and leave the rest.
I'm too late to this thread, but for future reference:
- run it through a wood chipper? It worked in Fargo.
- box it up, affix a SASE return label from some organization you don't like, drop it off at USPS.
Crook. Turns out the officer lives a few miles from me, and has tons of mule deer all over his place too, so he sympathized. Nice guy.

I had a wounded deer on my property with an arrow in it, called the PD and they told me to shoot it. So I reluctantly shot it and then I called back and asked when they’d come get it, they laughed. They said let Mother Nature take care of it.
2 weeks later it was a skeleton. Coyotes, owls, etc. saw a gigantic owl one morning eating it up.

A deer wearing his vis, how does that happen ?
He must work in construction.
I had been drinking and thought it would be "funny" to get the deer drunk too.
After soaking some corn in beer... one thing leads to another and stuff like this happens you know?
I guess I have too much free time and too many high vis jackets and corn and beer.
I would like the jacket back. I'm going to leave out some more natural light ice, he likes that and see if he comes back.
Few years back (ok, probably 25 years ago…) at the Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge a work party of minimum security prisoners were doing logging right near Discovery ski area. Over the course of the summer a friendly moose kept hanging around with them. They fed it sandwiches and it would take naps at their jobsite. Work spread among the other prisoners and soon the prison was buzzing with daily reports from the minimum security prisoners to the others about how the pet moose was doing. When hunting season came around the prisoners painted the word “PET” in big blaze orange letters on both sides of the moose.
A hunter shot it anyway, took the rack but left all the meat to spoil (a crime in Montana).
A riot broke out at the prison as a result that required the National Guard to quell.
I hitched a ride in Wyoming from a trucker, between I80 and Lander. We spotted some pronghorn and he told me about a friendly one the truckers used to feed at a pullout. Which turns out to be a good way to get a pronghorn shot.
Last time I found a dead deer I cut off its head and tied it to the roof of my car and drove cross country bathing in deer juice.
... with RFKjr riding shotgun?
