Yeah man. It's coming.
The early understory plants and some shrubs along the rivers have started changing in nw CO.
Had to use the defroster on the way to work 2-3 weeks ago.

^ fuck that man. Coworkers skiing last week in Oregon and Montana, the grand got dusted 2 days ago, and the fucking wind flowing through the late season hay fields just told me the turn is starting..
There’s another Turn thread ????
Also: FU about waiting until September, I definitely feel it today.

OTOH, it’s supposed to be 90 here by Saturday.
90.

Also FU about FU. Wait 2 more days, man.
Depending where you live, maybe the weather is cooling. I mean Salzburg Austria looks great, but most every other city I track in North America and Yurp is still hot for the next 10 days. Where I live (SoCal) it is just heating up.
RLY
We're winding up for the biggest heat wave of the summer (and maybe beyond ), so no turn any time soon.
Don't be insensitive.
That thread was started in… wait for it…. AUGUST.
This thread was started in September. By your logic this should be the correct thread.

About to be 110+ in Sacramento…. I thought it felt like the Turn last week when we had highs in the 80s and lows in the 50s. I was wrong…

This is still the wrong thread, though
Not feeling it round here yet. The drought is killing some leaves early though so it’s starting to look it.
On the other hand; I would actually go along with applying the term "turn" to our region (central CA) starting about now because the air is dead and dirty. Fields/orchards being harvested and prepped for the winter crops, and the dying of the delta breeze leads to filthy stagnant air = "the turn". Temp independent.
Yeah, that's the ticket.
I feel it.

I took something, now i am not feeling anything.
Grass started growing again lastweek. I heard birds chirping for the first time in a few months the other day. And the sun was strong enough to completely fuck up some fresh snow in 30 minutes earlier this week.
It has turned.
So many things I love about this time of year too.
Still over a month of lifts spinning. Months of bc skiing. Possibility of powder days and good corn. Spring desert fun just a short drive away. Warm days in the valleys. More daylight for aprés partying. Etc, etc.
They were talking on nor the other day about how much longer the growth season is now. For SLC it's like 25 days longer than it used to be. Reno had the biggest increase of like 54 days.
My south facing front yard in SLC is in growth mode. Back yard still looks like hell.
Judging from the walk around with no jacket weather today, it feels like the other turn. Had to fight the urge to buy bike tires.
Yeah, in Denver it was 68 and 73 this week. Felt amazing and I’m ready for full on spring here and amazing spring skiing up high till June.
