However, most of that crew is recovering from serious injuries, so I'm not sure how much skiing they will be doing between now and then end of the season......hope for the best though.

Str8line, if you're going to have a hand in the marketing thing you should give 'The Tipping Point' by Malcolm Gladwell a read. It's not a how-to guide, and it may not help you; but it's a very interesting read and it will open your eyes a bit as to how things go from unheard of to immensely popular "overnight".

I was in Watsons on Monday and saw someone of that description getting ripped a new one from some old fat bitch for "being so goddamned slow" and "being too stoned to care". The best was when said bitch asked for shredded cheese and the poor kid goes "the only thing getting shredded is ME..." and then the bitch flipped out and stormed away. It was funny to watch but that job seems to pretty much suck (is that not the first time it's happened....)

walter I'm with you after 15 years retial, but I think some of the buzz/sales is getting the sales guys onside with having the athletes on the product

get saga using brand X, you have a better chance of getting shop guy on the product, and offer the shop guys a great pro deal (LEARN from this patagonia vs TNF and Arc't) and you have a better chance of selling product to office guy

That hillarious, and I have a fairly good idea of who there would say something like that. The 4-5 hours out a day of work isn't the most fun ever but the rest of the day isn't too bad. Most people who go to watsons understand it takes a few minutes to cook a burger and will gladly wait for it. This week, however, sucks ass both on the mountain and in the shelter with the huge amount of beaters who flock to Alta because they read about it in ski magazine. And as everyone knows, people are in their worst moods when on vacation with their family. I can't wait for everyone to leave. sunday is so the new friday.

I was there for opening day, presidents weekend/week, and am going out for my spring break (11 days from the last week of march to april 4th) and have NEVER encountered so many beaters as I did over pres week this year. It was crazy. I was standing in the singles line and this fool came HAULING in to the line in jeans and some packers jacket or something and was like "HEAAAAAAAAAAADSS UP!!!!!" Where the FUCK was I supposed to go? Up the guy in front of me's ass?!?! I wanted to beat the guy down but his mad oversize goggles and bell bottom jeans told me not to react.

I hope spring break is more tame (presidents weekend hadn't been that bad in 10 years).

No, that's Shane Carmichael who has a sister Dana who also slays the comp circuit. He's top ten all the time and skis in plaid even when its snowing, because he's so punk.
