I got to hang out for a few hours with Pinetop Perkins, blues piano player, he played with EVERYBODY from the 40's on, name one decent player who could play a blues riff, I mean, Clapton, Stevie Ray, Robert Cray, Rory Gallagher, Roy Buchanon, Buddy Guy, Albert King, B.B. King, and on, and on, he played with them all.
I asked him who was the best he played with and without a second's hesitation he said "Duane Allman."
Of course Duane's not underrated but damn that boy could play.

I agree with you on the Roy Buchanon. You ever here his version of "Can I Change My Mind?"? Holy shit that is smoking. Just very precise, and "behind the notes" playing.
And Robert Cray - this man could teach a lot of young 'uns a thing or two. Shit, he could teach Clapton more than a single thing or two. Robert Cray has got it going on for sure.
