Schilling on the 15 day DL retroactive tuesday.
I am betting Devern gets called up. I think he spot started earlier in the season when Beckett went on the DL.
We will definitely see Lester at some point this season. Carve it in stone.

Devern got rocked his last start. I'm sure Gabbard would get the call before he does.
GO ROCKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOW ABOUT THOSE ROX????
Its SO nice to see them hitting with guys in scoring position... and I love the way the young guys are getting after it!
I went to Rox/Yanks game last night and thought it was kind of a fluke win and figured at least they won one game in the series, but they are playing really well and could easily take all 3 from the yanks- who would have thought?
Right now-
Rockies 6
Yanks 1
bottom 8th
How about Matt Holiday's shot? 442 feet and almost into the bathrooms on the concourse.
Anyone in the LA area interested in going to an Angels game next Tuesday? I'll be in Huntington Beach for work.
Holliday's HR reminds me of another old number 5 jersey that is one of my favorites... ;)

Nice win Rox!
Nice win for the Sox, and great outing for Tavarez, too. I wish they played all their games in Georgia.
Tavarez is averaging seven innings and a 0.00 ERA over his last game.
At least.
edit: Oh, gotcha. Yeah, I fucked that up- what can I say, I only have time to pull for one team while holding down a full time job- I don't know how smmokan does it- working, while keeping track of whichever team happens to be doing better at the time and is thus deserving of his attention.
That's where you're mistaken... I'm AT work, but I sure as hell am not working. I've known for the last 6 months that I'm going back to school- so my effort hasn't exactly been 100%.
As for my teams, well... I'm slowly transitioning from the Yankees to the Rockies. I've been out here in CO for 3+ years now after growing up in NY, and I love the way the Rockies play and I'm sick of the way the Yankees run their ship- what else can I say? Its tough to pull for a team (NY) that buys players like that constantly over the last 5 years. I like to see a team bring their guys up through the system, which is what the Rockies do. Plus, I live 15 minutes from the stadium so that doesn't hurt.
Oh, you'll always be a yankees fan. You can't give up on your home town boys like that!
Switching teams?:nonono2:
I very rarely use emoticons but that calls for one.
You can't switch teams, you have to stay with your team your whole life, even if they are the Yankees.
I hate the Bruins' owners and refuse to have anything to do with the team, but you won't see me in anybody else's jersey either, that would be sacrilege.
Well, according to the Sports Guy's rules for following a team, I think I'm safe to switch teams under two of these. I'm pretty sure the fifth rule applies in what Yankees fans are going through with Steiny signing all these jackasses for millions. Besides, who the hell said you can't switch teams? I grew up in Western NY, and now I'll be in Colorado for pretty much the rest of my life. Plus, I'm quite sure I don't have to justify this decision to a bunch of Boston fans on the internet.
19) "Once you choose a team, you're stuck with that team for the rest of your life ... unless one of the following conditions applies:
Your team moves to another city.
You grew up in a city that didn't field a team for a specific sport - and then you moved to a city that fielded a team for that specific sport.
One of your immediate family members either plays professionally or takes a relevant management/coaching/front office position with a pro team.
You follow your favorite college star (and this has to be a once-in-a-generation favorite college star) to the pros and root for his team du jour. Only works if there isn't a pro team in your area.
The owner of your favorite team treated his fans so egregiously over the years that you couldn't take it anymore -- you would rather not follow them at all then support a franchise with this owner in charge."
The fifth rule applies to my old man. He grew up a Yankee fan his whole life and was a fan from the 40s up until Steinbrenner took over. Knew what he was about, and quickly switched over to the Mets. Interestingly enough, he was at Shea for game 5 of the 69 Series and stormed the field after they won.
I dont think youve met any of the conditions.
1) Yankees havent moved.
2)Western NY is in NY. So, your team would be Yankees or Mets. Or Pirates, depending on if theyre in the WNY area you are.
3)You dont have family playing for the Rockies do you?
4) Did you follow Troy Tulowitzki @ LBS? Or Helton at UT?
5)Steinbrenner has done anything but screw his fans. He spends millions to give them championships.
That all said...I dont care who you root for- Rockies, Yankees, Liberty, whoever. But I think youve got to try and pick one at some point- cant half ass rooting for 2 teams. I like the Padres and hope they do OK, but if they moved to Canada or Japan...I wouldnt give a flying fuck whatsoever.
I'll be at the Rockies/Yanks Game today. Fuck off Yankees fans!
GO ROCKIES!
