BANK OF CANADA URGES ‘STAR TREK’ FANS TO STOP ‘SPOCKING’ THEIR FIVERS

Bank of Canada is pleading with Star Trek fans to stop “Spocking” its five dollar bills. Since Leonard Nimoy’s death, Canadian folks have been “Spocking” the hell out of the five dollar bill that features a portrait of Canada’s seventh prime minister Sir Wilfrid Laurier.

Sir Wilfrid now sports, on certain bills at least, pointy ears, the signature Vulcan haircut and eyebrows and Spock’s mantra “Live long and prosper.”

According to Bank of Canada it’s not illegal to do this but:

“...However, there are important reasons why it should not be done. Writing on a bank note may interfere with the security features and reduces its lifespan. Markings on a note may also prevent it from being accepted in a transaction. Furthermore, the Bank of Canada feels that writing and markings on bank notes are inappropriate as they are a symbol of our country and a source of national pride.”

I say Spock the hell out of ‘em if it ain’t illegal. Sir Wilfrid Laurier’s face wasn’t that interesting, anyway. In fact, let’s just make this a permanent improvement to the Canadian five dollar bill.

I'm chucking over "lickspittle" these days. It's getting a lot of play without even being said.

My wife is watching a show called The Woods on Netflix and I am eating dinner watching it for the first time. The voices on several characters sound very familiar but when i see the actor or actress they don't look familiar at all. I'm going nuts trying to figure it out and google the cast and see nobody i remember, Then the music sounds familiar and I realize that the voices are dubbed and seem to be the same voice-overs and even the eerie music from another dubbed show called Dark that we watched recently.

Every so often I see a bro in his big lifted crew cab pickup with a dainty little road bike in the bed, in a bike rack like that. Quite the juxtaposition. So much space, wouldn't it be easier to lay the bike down? That would also keep it out of sight so it doesn't ruin the tough guy image they're trying to project.

Somebody local makes cute little signs for the front of houses. With last names surrounded by trees and flowers and shit on a nicely stained plank of wood.

Except they’re confused by apostrophes. The Johnson’s. The Smith’s. The Hendrickson’s. Apparently these homes belong to a single individual.

Admittedly, it’s not perfectly straightforward. Every time I walk by one of these, I wonder whether they really mean The Johnsons or The Johnsons’ or just Johnson. Do you want me to know that a bunch of Johnsons live there? Do you want me to know that this is the Johnsons’ home? Is this the Johnson residence?

...And then one of my dog’s will take a shit or see a squirrel and my mind will wander on to something else.

I ordered 3 cases of toilet paper for the office, three boxes showed up today. One was a case of Charmin TP, the other two labeled Charmin TP on the outside, but inside, each box contained 6 Oral B Electric toothbrushes, 12 total. WTF???
